£390,000 For Warwickshire Following 10-Year Scheme

10 years ago, Warwickshire County Cricket Club and the West Bromwich Building Society teamed-up to launch cricket’s first-ever affinity savings account to help develop facilities at Edgbaston, including the youth development project.

The Century Savers Account has been so successful that now more than £390,000 has been raised through the scheme to support the County.

This figure was recently reached thanks to a further £43,000 presented to the club as part of its annual payment from the West Brom.

Nearly 2,000 Warwickshire members have opened Century Savers Accounts of which 1% of the total annual balance is paid to Warwickshire accordingly.

Richard Brown, Business Development Manager, West Bromwich Building Society, said the scheme has proved an outstanding success.

“No one could have envisaged when the Century Savers Account was set-up that it would prove such a financial success for Warwickshire. We are absolutely delighted for this great club that the money is being used to ensure Warwickshire’s facilities remain some of the best in the country.”
