Sixth One-Day International, Guwahati

Australia moved into an unassailable 4-2 series lead over India by winning the sixth One-Day International in Guwahati by six wickets.

Doug Bollinger picked up five wickets as India were bowled out for 170 and in reply, Australia reached their target in the 42nd over to wrap up the series with a game to spare.

Left-armer Bollinger, opening the bowling alongside fellow left-arm quick Mitchell Johnson, took five for 35 to rip through the Indian batting line-up and leave them defending a modest score.

He removed Sachin Tendulkar (10), Yuvraj Singh (6), Mahendra Sing Dhoni (24) and then dismissed top scorer Ravi Jadeja for 57 as well as Harbhajan Singh for a duck.

Praveen Kumar hit an unbeaten 54 in 51 balls as India tried to rally having been reduced to 27 for five with Johnson getting the better of Virender Sehwag (6), Gautam Gambhir (0) and Suresh Raina (0).

An outstanding bowling display from Australia was capped off when Shane Watson removed tail-enders Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel for four and nought respectively to end India's innings in 48 overs.

Watson then got Australia's reply off to a solid start, the all-rounder making 49 in as many balls with ten fours, putting on 61 with captain Ricky Ponting (25) after Shaun Marsh fell early for six, trapped in front by Patel.

Watson and Ponting were both caught off the bowling of Harbhajan and although Cameron White was trapped in front by Raina for 25, Western Australia pair Mike Hussey, unbeaten on 35, and Adam Voges, on 23, saw Australia home with some comfort.

The final match of the series is in Mumbai on 11th November.
