West Indies Women 179-9 (Taylor 43, Colvin 4-24) beat
England Women 176-9 (Greenway 61, Lavine 3-29) by one wicket
Third One-Day International, Warner Park, Saint Kitts
The West Indies Women mounted a spectacular recovery to beat England Women by one wicket in the third and final One-Day International in Saint Kitts, taking the series 2-1 in the process.
Set 177 to win, they were in deep trouble at 66 for six before an 87-run partnership for the seventh wicket between Stacy-Ann King and Deandra Dottin got them back in the game and they held their nerve to get home.
England had been similarly inconvenienced when they were reduced to 66 for four after choosing to bat first, only 61 from Lydia Greenway getting them up to a competitive score.
Although England hit back with the ball, Katherine Brunt and Isa Guha grabbing a wicket apiece as the hosts fell to two for two and even when King was dismissed by Holly Colvin, the West Indies needed 24 more runs to win.
Despite two more wickets falling, the final pair of Anisa Mohamed and Shakira Selman guided their side over the line to give the West Indies plenty of confidence heading into the Twenty20 International series that begins on 9th November.
