Second One-Day International, Centurion
JP Duminy marked his return to the South African side with his maiden One-Day International century as the Proteas piled up 331 for five against Zimbabwe in the second and final game at Centurion Park.
Duminy barely put a foot wrong during his unbeaten innings of 111 not out in just 87 balls, powering nine fours and two sixes to help his side achieve the highest ever score in a day/nighter at the ground.
Jacques Kallis, also back in the side having missed the first match, struck an aggressive 81 before looping a catch to Elton Chugimbura at short third man as he tried to take on Prosper Utseya.
Zimbabwe's quick bowlers struggled in particular, and it was their spinners who took the five wickets to fall, three of them to left-armer Ray Price with Utseya also having Graeme Smith (53) stumped.
AB de Villiers (5) missed a straight one while Alviro Petersen (4) missed one that kept low and was trapped in front as Price returned three for 55, Utseya taking two for 53.
Smith and Kallis put on an opening stand 108 as seamers Kyle Jarvis and Christopher Mpofu were hammered for 76 and 75 runs respectively.
Price's other victim was the hard-hitting Albie Morkel, caught in the deep by Hamilton Masakadza for 13 before an unbeaten 31 in 19 balls from Mark Boucher kept the Zimbabweans under pressure at the death.
