Erin Osborne will lead Australia Women's Under-21 side to take on a New Zealand Emerging Players team in a series of 50-over and Twenty20 matches in Sydney in December.

She will have Jessica Cameron as her vice-captain and is joined in the squad by a number of players who have full international caps, including Delissa Kimmince, Ellyse Perry and Elyse Villani.

“We have selected a very experienced team," selection chair Christina Matthews commented.

“Captain Erin Osborne has a wealth of experience, having now played in two ICC world events and toured with the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars to New Zealand and England.

“The matches against New Zealand will provide these young players with further opportunities to impress selectors as we prepare for the ICC World Twenty20 campaign in the West Indies in April.”

The New Zealand Emerging Players play a Twenty20 warm-up against a New South Wales XI before three Twenty20s and two 50-over matches.

All matches are at the Blacktown Olympic Park.
