19 players have been awarded central contracts for the six-month period from January to June, with the players being graded on A, B and C category contracts.

Seven players have been awarded 'A' contracts, five players 'B' contracts and the remaining seven players have been given 'C' contracts, including left-arm quick bowler Junaid Khan, who was a late inclusion in Pakistan's World Cup squad.

Experienced players Shahid Afridi, Younus Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul, Abdul Razzaq and Shoaib Akhtar are the players given 'A' contracts.

The board will review the contracts ahead of awarding new six-month contracts in July.

A category central contracts: Younus Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul, Shoaib Akhtar

B category central contracts: Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Abdur Rehman, Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz

C category central contracts: Taufeeq Umar, Asad Shafiq, Ahmed Shehzad, Azhar Ali, Adnan Akmal, Tanvir Ahmed, Junaid Khan
