Middlesex ECB Premier League champions Ealing and runners-up Teddington both lost their final games of the season, meaning Ealing - confirmed as winners for the seventh year in a row last week - held on to their ten-point lead. At the bottom of the table, where there was still plenty to play for, Twickenham and Richmond ended up relegated despite Richmond beating Stanmore by 65 runs.
Totteridge Milhillians were confirmed as the Saracens Hertfordshire League champions and they were crowned in style as they completed a crushing ten-wicket win over Berkhamstead. They bowled Berkhamstead out for just 90 and raced to their target in 10.4 overs which meant that despite Langleybury completing a similarly dominant ten-wicket win over Leverstock Green, Totteridge took the title by 20 points.
Totteridge Milhillians go into the final round of matches in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League with a 20-point lead over second-placed Langleybury after both side's matches fell victim to the rain this weekend.
Ealing clinched their seventh successive Middlesex County Cricket League title by beating Twickenham by 97 runs. With one game to go, they lead by ten points and have two more wins than Teddington, their nearest challengers. Two from Twickenham, Richmond and Brondesbury will be relegated while the Division Two title is still up for grabs with Southgate (99 points) the favourites and Hornsey (93) the challengers.
We are set for a rousing finale to the Middlesex ECB Premier League as leaders Ealing are now just one point ahead of challengers Teddington. Ealing were somewhat unlucky after their game against Eastcote was abandoned due to rain after they reached 194 for three in the 35th over.
Rain played a large part in this weekend's programme of matches in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League with leaders Totteridge Milhillians unable to even start their game against Chorleywood. What little play that was possible allowed Langleybury to leapfrog Radlet II into second place in the table although they are now 20 points adrift of the leaders going into the final two matches of the season.
