Topic: 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup Final Posted: 26 April 2007 at 8:53am |
Hey, someone commented on my 11-1-11 irony..
He said, Sri Lanka 11 all out and Australia 11-1 and the game ends! This is not realistic! Australia HAS to be 12-1 to win !!!!!

Your right, and Sri Lanka are going to have to play OUT OF THEIR SKIN to win.

Nelson is solely English. Australia's unlucky number is 87.

I think you will find that the Australian's have a different interpretation of numerical luck than the English Nelson. I may be wrong, but I believe Australians hold numbers that fall 13 runs short of a significant figure (87, 13 short of 100) to be unlucky.

When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

Well, I remember the 1996 game. I was up all night and into the early hours of the morning and couldn't believe that the Lankans won! I am hoping that Saturday night will be the same. Australia need some decent competion and I would love to see Punter's face and hear all his post interviews if they lose. It will be magic!

I hate to admit it, being an SA supporter, but the Aussies deserve this world cup more than anyone else.
Nonetheless, I will be backing Sri Lanka on Saturday. Not because I'm sore at the Aussies, but because SL has always been my 2nd favourite team ever since I shook hands with Sanath Jayasuriya.

Why do you say that Australia deserve to win?? I admit they have a fantastic team but they are too full of themselves. They need to be shaken up a little.
This is just my opinion ofcourse

Lioness, you don't win trophies with nice attitudes. (Unless you're in a beauty pageant). You win it with performances. And the Aussies have put in better performances than the Lankans.
However, it still comes down to Saturday's match, and all will be decided there.
