Cobber, So does that mean for each coach i asign x1 psychologist?

For example if i asign x4 batting coach and x4 bowling coach does that mean i have to asign x8 psychologist?

also do i need to add another x2 psychologist for stamina and fielding?

Guys i just joined battrick, Need help.

I got 3x batting, 3x bowling, 2x fielding, 2x stamina and 5x Public Relations Officers, 1x Financial Advisors. (coaches). So how many psychologist do i need with that set up? and is that ok?

Can someone please explain to me how the psychologist works? i know what it does but how do you know how many to employ?

It really has become about squad management and having allrounders like that is great but I've really focused my nets on 6 players in the last 7-8 seasons to form the backbone of my team for the foreseeable future. To train them I tried mainly focused on training primaries giving each play at least 2xprimary until they're 22. I don't focus on stamina until this age which is purely preference as i'd prefer to give the player 2xprimary beyond 19 just because it makes a difference to the player by the end given that 1xfielding will be trained throughout.

Its a theory that is debated with giving players 1xstamina from the get-go but in the long-run losing that 1xprimary at 19-20 means having to train the player well into his twenties in order to get him to at least masterful. But then again training super players means make much less money if you don't get big crowd attendances.

Just my thoughts but i'm hoping to spark some discussion on the nature of training players in terms of your ideal balance in a battrick cricketing side.

I have a batsman coming up to the end of his second year of training, and am slightly disappointed with his progress, but hopefully he will blossom.
 
I also got a new batting trainee at the start of the season, who randomly turned out to have a good bowling primary too, so I decided to train him up as an all rounder. I doubt his bowling secondary will get high enough for him to be much use in the one day leagues, but he'll be handy for FC games.

You make a good point clobber. I'm thinking of training these two bowlers as well as another batsman who is 20. I'm thinking anything beyond miraculous is going to be two expensive considering my wage bill is already are at $400k a week. And as soon as nets free up a wicketkeeper batsman.

How are your trainees clobber?

What are your guys opinions on primarys for players and how long to train them.

Thomas Greer - 22 yo, BT Rating=85,753
RH batsman, RH Spin bowler. He is a defensive player with worthless leadership skills and respectable experience.
He currently has proficient batting form, strong bowling form and energetic fitness.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: woeful
Bowling: masterful Consistency: exceptional
Fielding: proficient


Greer has been a long-term project for me and he is currently on 2xprimary (and has been since he was 17) and 1xfielding and will be for next season. I am thinking of giving him 1xprimary, 1xfielding and 1xstamina next season and get him superb = miraculous = masterful by the end and can perhaps train him on 1xprimary and 1xfielding for a further season until he is 24 but am unsure about that yet.

The second player has two season of training left in him making him 23 by the end.

Graham Lake - 21 yo, BT Rating=56,248
RH batsman, RM bowler. He is a cautious player with respectable leadership skills and respectable experience.
He currently has strong batting form, competent bowling form and lively fitness.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: sensational Consistency: wonderful
Fielding: abysmal

He will be getting 1xprimary, 1xstamina and 1xfielding. Or should I continue to give this guy 2x primarys as he one or two weeks off exquisite  and will would be masterful for the end of next season.

What are you educated thoughts?

I'm unsure what to do with the 7million i've got currently. I'm thinking of selling two or even one player that would fetch around $4mil and putting 10-11mil into one player to sure up my batting.  Or is it wiser to train one player and say buy a early 20's player who could use two seasons of nets to become a lord. Thoughts?

it becomes a balancing act I think as you can't have all your players at superb stamina given the need to give other players nets. However my squad is generally very low in terms of stamina - proficient being the highest - so next season and the one after i've allocate two floating stamina nets.

what would you say is a reasonable level of stamina, proficient? Unless there's exponential value in getting them to strong, superb.

i'm thinking stamina is something you should invest in from the outset unless of course you can't afford the nets at that that but for prodigies its well worth it in my opinion.

ah true cheers for that advice Clobber, i'll use those nets on a possible YP or transfer market trainee and use a floating stamina to get these guys up a few levels in fitness while not compromising on a trainees nets.

I'm thinking 2xprimary 1xfielding is ample for a trainee even 2xprimary and then introducing fielding when they're say 19-20 of you want to train them long-term.

I would look to move the nets onto other players Bondy, especially if you bag a decent youth pull.

Those two players are great, but receiving nets and having relatively low stamina means they'll never perform at their peak for you, and having trained them for 7 season, you want 5 or 6 seasons back out of them.

Edward Dunne - 23 yo, BT Rating=116,286
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler. He is a steady player with superb leadership skills and wonderful experience.
He currently has respectable batting form, proficient bowling form and fresh fitness.

Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: exquisite Consistency: elite
Fielding: mediocre

These guys have been in the nets for seven seasons now and Warne, the batter is one week off elite concentration as he follows a week after Dunne for his secondaries and primaries too.

Should I continue to train these guys? I've got two bowlers who are going to be sharing three nets each next season and am deciding whether to give the two nets Dunne and Warne are on (1xprimary, 1xfielding) respectability or to a youth pull (70 ITS points saved) instead i.e. 2xprimary 1xfield and then use the last spare net as a floating stamina and try to get both Warne and Dunne to proficient stamina or is respectable OK if they're not receiving nets during the season?

I'd say the fact that top spot play 3rd away in tthe last round will nearly get you across the line given the teams you're playing.

If it was me I'd elect to bowl if I won the toss and set my batsmen to very attacking. Not sure what difference it'll all make, but I reckon you're a good chance to finish top of the table.

I want to finish first, so obviously I need a better run rate than the first team. The last two teams I am playing are against a bot, and a team thats really easy to beat. Do I set all my batsman to "Very attacking" and bowlers too? Will that make a difference? Or can I change that team effort button, and select the option "go for it". Would that make a difference?

I just signed up a few days ago so im just getting to grips with the game. Just played my first game and won. Scored 339 in the first innings then bowled out the bot team for 64. Im playing my first friendly on sunday so i'll see how it goes then. (Been lurking on this forum for some time, just never had time to post :D.)
