Maybe I'll re-word my previous comment - fast bowlers are much more valuable in a cricket side than medium pace bowlers.

I might be biased (bowling seam up myself) but I'd still go with trying to  become a seam bowler. Generally speaking, there are 3 spots in a cricket team for quick bowlers, and only 1, at most 2 spots in a team for a spinner.

Dead right Sledger.
Warne was useful on any wicket, even a green top. But then someone like Brett Lee was really poor in England as compared to the way he bowled in South Africa or Australia. It's a definite misnomer that spinners are less useful on wickets that don't turn square. Most of Warne's wickets came from straight deliveries !

I'd go with bowling medium pace (much easier than mastering spin in a short space of time). Whilst you're at it, why don't you try bowling fast? But SW was right West Indians are weak against spin and i'll get loads of wickets

If you want to play as a all-rounder than Medium pace is a better option but if you only want to bowl than Leg spin is the right option.
