    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=837">spin wizard</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 556<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04 August 2008 at 5:05pm<br /><br />I bought a bat for me a few months ago.&nbsp; I made sure to knock it in with a bat mallet until I couldn't see any more dents when knocking.&nbsp; That didn't take very long.&nbsp; <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>It was a CA bat with about 9 grains.&nbsp; It's an English willow and the wood was soft, in other words, dented easily when knocking in but I tell you, this bat is hitting real sweet now and makes a real nice sound when it comes off the middle.&nbsp; It's suited for cross batted shots as the sweet spot is a bit more up on the bat.&nbsp; It's very light too, not too sure how much it weights though but it looks flashy as well so many people want to use it.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I haven't bat much with it as yet but I've pulled some good sixes with it.&nbsp; Some guys have blazed some exquisite straight hits with it as well so I guess it's&nbsp;very good on the drives too.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Best thing is, it only cost about £65.&nbsp; CA bats rock!!</DIV>]]>

It is much heavier than my old Powerbow but I like how the middle is smack in the middle which means I can drive the ball alot more and find the middle. I have noticed my power as imporved also because I have had to work out more to handle the weight of the bat. It was pretty cheap and only cost me £40 equivalant in rupees.]]>

The toe is a little dead but I got it wet in the first game I played with it (too lazy to fit a toe guard when I first knocked it in) and the wood there has gone a little strange when it dried out. Apart from that it is in great nick.<br><br>It was a £60 bat but I got it for £20 because they were selling off old stock (it was the season before the new Slazenger bats came in). The pick up is great and it feels lighter than it is. I love it. Not that I've scored many run in it, but I bat at 10 or 11 usually, so that doesn't mean much.<br>]]>

You might as well look for a Kashmir Willow bat or a cheap EW bat like the Top Banana ones.]]>
