No i bet! But i think he does an adequate job. To be fair, with his talent, I don't care whether he can field or not!

In the same way, as a Man Utd fan, I couldn't care less that Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't defend. He does his primary job exceptionally.

LOL. Very true about Ronaldo Sledge.

Cook should fit into Gully pretty well. Got the height!

I think Cook has got a bright future ahead of him if he continues to play and open well. He definitely looks to have a cool temperament and you have to wonder if he is potential captain material.

I will be watching him with interest!

He looks like a very good player. I think though to become even better he's got to sort out that issue he has with balls just outside off stump. He seems to prod at the ball instead of completely committing foward to drive or play a defensive stroke. I think once he sorts that out he could become a complete player.

I have very high hopes for Cook, he has shown tremendous talent already, and a fantastic ability to cope with the pressure, even from such a young age. England captain of the future has been touted about, and I wouldn't complain if he continues improving at the same rate.
County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

I just wanted to quote this from Clobs on the ENG v SL thread.

Great achievement Cook, keep em coming!
