how can you compare any1 to warney... he has taken a world record 92 wickets this calender year with still 1 innings to go... Absolutely no doubt about it. Shane Warne is easily the worlds best spinner

Yup! Warne is miles better than any other spinner in the history of cricket. Even Murali can't be compared to Shane Warne.

That is your opinion, but the fact is that Shane Warne is the best spinner in the history of cricket.

kumbers to me hes my cricket hero never ever does he stop trying hes had injury problems in the past he is one of two bowlers to take 10 wickets in a match 10/74 has warne done that didn't think so plus muralli is 3 years younger than warne and only 70-80 wickets behind he takes 70 wickets every calender year  so its gonna be singh, kumble, muralli, warne

plus no one knows if there was a better spinner back in the 18th century

You're right. Kumble is one of only 2 bowlers to have taken 10 wickets in an inning and that is impressive but that was just a coincidence. It was just his day. If he could take 10 wickets in an inning lets say every year, then I would believe that he is capable of doing it.

Murali takes a lot of wickets yearly because he chucks, and he plays a lot against the weaker teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.

Warne takes lower order wickets not because he can't take the top order's wickets but because McGrath and Lee are given that job first. Warne has to compete with McGrath and Lee to take wickets and does take wickets. So Warne is the best spinner.

I guess because they believe that fast bowlers can get crucial break throughs early in the inning.

No, the spinners aren't suppose to open the bowling and I am sure that they won't. The fast bowlers always open the bowling.

Well, the guy who made this poll shouldn't have made it multiple voting. This way one person can vote for who ever he/she wants a million times. This gives the poll a biased result.

Thats what i also want to say buddy..Warnie being in the Australion Team always gets that advantage of domination.Big batsman will be out most of the time and
Opposing team wil be in very nervous state of loosing the game.Huge target..tension etc. no doubt warnie is No.1 by statistics.. but had some favorable conditions.also i dont want to demean warne's capabilities. He is a great player indeed. But legie Kumble should get some better apreciation.I hope some people here dont like that statement saying warnie is FAAAR better than kumble.

eho was the idiot that iver voted for vettori.

Warne is the best by 100000000000000000000 country miles.

The best leggie and the best allround spinner in the world.

Accuracy, Spin, Drift, Flight, Variation he has everything u would dream of, plus he does all of those things nearly perfect.

Kumble is barely a spinner, he basically bowls Medium Fast leg cutters. No drift, poor variation and bad flight, at least compared to Warne. Vettori and Kaneria are better then Kumble.

Kumble makes a mockery of spin bowling by the way he bowls, Bill O'reilly will be rolling in his grave, as is Jim Laker over the way Murali bowls.

Kumble got 10 wickets in the innings against Pakistan because nobody else was CAPABLE of getting a Pakistani wicket besides him at that stage. Warne is far more superior, not just by his record but by the actual way he bowls. Ask anybody, infact ask Richie Benaud.

Warne is the best, no doubt, followed by Murlitharan. Voting of vettori is really ridiculou*s.

Ok, so how does that determine a great bowler.

The fact is that Warne is miles ahead of Kumble.

Vettori doesnt actually put any spin on it from what i heard from my 17 year old cousin. he said that he just changes the loop and the pace and other things so that the batsmen hits differently and the batsmen will be caught. and that is why it is rare to see B: Vettori

Please stop insulting people. Why do you have such a big problem with Asians?

No doubt Anil is nothing compared to Shane Warne, but you don't have to insult people to prove your point.
