NZ were also sporting an under-strength side, though Bangladesh batted superbly, congrats to them!

no bondy!!! NZL's side was a pretty decent one, with almost all their front line players, i guess their bowling though was a little short on experience.

The bowling line-up was well under-strength, we had a 19 year old in the side and having our front-line bowlers would've made a world of difference.
I'm looking forward the hiding we're going to dish out on boxing day.

I'm sure you'll appreciate the contradiction you just made. No Bondy they weren't sporting an under-strength side!? Oh know they were, sorry. Idiot.

The first string black-caps side will look a lot different to the one that played in Hamilton. There was no McCullum, Vettori, Mills, Martin, Oram and Gillespie.

Got to agree with bondy it was an under-strength side and it was a 20/20 just abit of hit and giggle.
but once agian the nz batsmen failed if there so much better than bangledesh the least you could expect is a par score of around 150-160

they've come on in leaps and bounds and are in a better position than NZ were when they began. It took 26 years for NZ to win their first test, Bangladesh have some time to better that feat!

I was impressed with Southee, He bowled well generally, just the Banglas decided to get all unorthodox on him and ruin his figures.
Bangladesh seemed to take the game a lot more seriously than the NZ team, and i suspect the banglas think they've got a psychological advantage over the NZ players that were in the team, when we didn't play hard and i expect us to hit them hard once the real games begin.

Also, a lot of the players were unlucky to hit it straight to the fielders.
Southee looked good, hes capable of swinging it aswell. Although, I thought he may have been a bit quicker.

Bangladesh are progressing while NZ remain stagnant. I just saw that the bowling attack was 2nd string attack but the batting line up was mostly what would be in internationals. I think people are underrating Bangladesh. India and others have made the mistake and paid the price. NZ shouldn't underestimate them. I don't consider their batting much but their bowling is capable of bowling NZ out. An upset could surely occur if Bangladesh's bowling attack fires and looking at NZ's batting dept. I won't be surprised if Bangladesh win a match or two.

As is the case for NZ it won't be the bowling that lets Bangladesh down.
Their batsmen struggle against the short ball and this will suit the Black Caps to the ground. With the seamers that they've got expect alot of balls at chest height to the Bangladesh batsmen.
Despite this, I think that Bangladesh will win 1 ODI, if not more. As for the tests however, I'd say that a NZ victory is pretty much inevitable.
Then again, with NZ anything is possible. We could see a Bangladesh test win but I'd place big odds against it.

He is just 19, so a couple of years before we will see his full pace potential. That, and he looked to me like he might be a bit confused whether to be a swing bowler or a seamer.

Yep, another Wasim Akram maybe?
But, if we can nurture him in the right ways then, he should be a real prospect.

Nah sam. You're taking it too far. anyways NZ don't need an Akram. They need a Ponting or Sachin or Dravid more.

Bangladesh 65/2 (14.0 ov)
Ashraful counterattacking.....see what i mean about individual brilliance, if he keeps it up it will be a very decent total they set.
