There was a great catch in the U19 world cup by Corey Anderson from NZ. A diving catch, if I remember correctly.

ashes 2005 andrew strauss took a one handed catch amazing, collingwood has taken a few great catches, that fat guy who played for bermuda in the 20/20 world cup took a good reaction catch in 2nd or third slip his celebration was equally as gud.

Gibbs own is the only one I saw and it was a screamer of ah catch. So far, to me, the catch of the new year.

I don't go with the word best in anything , but at Kingsmead we
saw two beauties yesterday. Fantastic reflexes by Gibbs to pluck
that one out of the air at gulley and Steyn's athleticism in taking
that one at deep fine leg , inches off the deck. Both fantastic
efforts.

I'm sure anyone who saw the catch taken by John Dyson for Australia v West Indies in a test many years ago, would not have the slightest doubt about it being the best of ALL TIME.

Jamie Dalrymple's catch at the SCG in the 2nd VB series final and to actually see it live at the ground probably made it look even better. Not far behind Paul collingwood's catch against us in 2005 and Vasbert Drakes to remove John Davison in 2003.

Styris took an amazing one against SL a few years back. Falling to his left and diving he juggled it and then finally caught it on the third attempt, while mid-air!! |

I dont know between astle and sinclair, but i guess sinclair because he caught it left-handed and he is a right hander.

One of the best catches i have ever seen is the one that Janie Dalrymple took in the final of the Commenwealth bank series against Australia. I remember he was fielding at backward point and he took a diving one handed catch to his left to dismiss Watson! That was a good catch
