Yeah, I forgot about that, thanks. That is greater achievement than hattricks.

My favourites definitely Vaas's.

I feel that its harsh though that Murali as a great bowler with 600+ test wickets though has never had a hattrick or a 10 for, I mean he should have 1 he even got denied the 10 for twice by England.

Nuwan Zoysa took a hat-trick before that in his first over it's not Pathan to do it first up

1.1 Trevor Gripper - missed a strightening ball - lbw
1.2 Murray Goodwin - edged a staighter delivery to slip
1.3 Neil Jhonson - swung away and cutback after pitching. LBW

When you see that these three batsmen are probably No 3, 4 for Zimbabwe best ever, I think it's no joke

Is this ODI or Test? I thought Vaas was the only bowler to take hatrick on first 3 balls of an ODI.

Everyone has. Rephrase your question. Make sure you know what consecutive means

I know 4 in 5 balls has been done - I can think of Chris Old in the 70's.

I almost had a hat trick of my own at the weekend - I took 2 in 2 balls, then (as is sadly often the case at moments like this) bowled a wide, before taking another wicket with the next ball.

This was a test. Infact it was Nuwan Zoysa's 1st over and the 2nd over of the match.

Well Bret Lee had in the World Cup against Kenya even though Kenya came amazingly well playing all 50 overs.

Vaas' was one of the best but once again against a bad team like Lee's.

Pathan was my 2nd favorite because three really good players of the first three balls and it was an INDO-PAK match.

And my favortie was once inmy coaching i got three of my first over against seniors. My first over but the matches 12th over.

Another time i got 2in 2 against juniors, gave a wide then got the third.

0.5 traps younis khan lbw with another beauty

0.6 and then a ripping delivery to bowl mohammad yousuf who tries to block

that was the best hat-trick in tests for me and in odis not sure maybe chaminda vaas

There is Pathan's first over hattrick for those who haven't seen it

There is Mohammad Samis. Ignore the first half of it, the second half is his hattrick, I think it was the last 3 wickets of the WI innings.

I wish I saw Javeds as those three batsmen would be quite a special hattrick.

To get the 3rd wicket Boon at silly mid on (i think) took a great catch diving to his right

There is Warnes, you were right with it being Boon and it being a great catch, but it was at forward short leg rather than silly mid on

Sorry, to add to my earlier post:

James Andersons. Pretty poor quality video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ6bHnk0P3k

There is Wasim Akrams Test hattrick. As one member thought, he actually breaks a stump in clean bowling Chaminda Vaas.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6022976368613473123 &q=cricket+hatrick

There is Chaminda Vaas' hattrick with the first three balls of a World Cup game with Bangladesh. He ended up taking 4 wickets in the over!

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5829876487282431764& amp;q=cricket+hatrick

There is Brett Lees hattrick against Kenya in the World Cup.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPzo2zGHCrU

That is Saqlain Mushtaqs hattrick.

I still get a warm feeling from Darren Gough's hattrick in The Ashes series downunder!
Mental disintegration works for me !!

What about caddi£k's hattrick against India in the 2003 World Cup. The last four balls, the last four wickets. Was it a hattrick or was there a runout before the forth wicket?

Pat Pocock took 5 wickets in an over. He also got 2 wickets in the next over. Without a doubt the best bowling spell ever.

I liked Anderson's hat-trick.
He and Harmison took their hat-tricks in their 16 ODI game but Harmison should not have been given the hat-trick as the 2nd ball hit the batsman's armguard.

How about Harbhajan Singh's hat-trick in that famous test against Australia where Laxman hit 281, if you think about it that was the most match winning hat-trick.

I'm suprised with his beer gut he was such a great silly mid on fielder though he must have been thinking he was diving for beer to make such attempts like that.
