Imran Tahir has the most over-the-top celebration I can remember seeing. In the recent series against Sri Lanka, he took the wicket of the number 8 (good delivery, I accept) and ran, with arms out-stretched into the outfield. What do members think about this and other bowlers' celebrations?

Thanks

Chris

hmmm... haven't seen much of Tahir's celebrations but among others I like Afridi's present way of pointing two fingers upwards, making some sort of an X and team members hugging him!

I also loved Brett Lee's old style of bending down and punching the air several times (the way he did in 2003 WC and that period).

presently Nasir Hossain of BAN has a strange was of celebrating, people who watch WWE would know he resembles the DX style when he gets a wicket!

Talking of over the top celebrations, I remember two people who used to get absolutely wild, one of them, and actually one of the players I really liked was Andre Nel, boy he used to go really wild after picking up a wicket, and the other one ofcourse is S Sreesanth. Sree can do anything when he gets a wicket, anything!!!

Sometimes I wonder why Tahir celebrates the way he does, that is way over the top!!

Tahir's antics are idiotic - he lacks coordination and I bet he'd be a riot on Strictly Come Dancing !  That bowlers celebrate wickets is understandable ,especially the big scalps - but when they go ballistic when removing the tail ,that's annoying.
In the old days a bowler appealed , the finger was raised and his teammates shook his hand - then it was back to his mark !

Mental disintegration works for me !!

I enjoy his celebration, it makes it more of a spectacle and it's always fun to see the other SA blokes running after him. He just needs to stop doing it when he dismisses the tail though, just do it for top order batsman. He'll be doing cartwheels for getting Chris Martin out at the rate he's going!
