Me and Tyke played a fascinating match yesterday.

On a green pitch I decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Jammoes Lot made 259 for the loss of 4 wickets with top scorer Paki making 84 off 108 balls. My bowlers Anthony, Bruce, Piatt and Yate taking one each with John being the most economical.

Then it was my turn to bat. I wasn't confident after my top order has failed in my last two friendlies. The top order Lyons and Paul made an opening stand of 194 which created the platform for my number 3 and 4 batsman to score the required 60 or so runs. I won with 8 wickets and 13 balls to spare.

It was a great match Tyke, Your bowlers kept the pressure on and my players could only score off Baker. Having not one an away friendly for a few months now, it's great to finally win one. I'm looking forward to our next game now with the confidence to now play on green pitches!

Yes our match is 2 legs, giving me a match to try and get some revenge.

Baker's orders were set to very aggressive, rather than aggressive as I normally have them set. I was experimenting to see whether Baker would become a more dangerous bowler when going full throttle at the batsmen.

It was a great match, very close and I'm hoping that our next match will be just as exciting.
Good luck MP12.

So, it looks as if I have a bit of work to do before our next meeting. Bondy seems to be a tad stronger than I based on the reporters summary, I'm putting this down to the core strength of his new trainees.

But, all in all, a very convincing victory for Mr. Bond, well done mate!

I wouldn't say I'm stronger, I just happened to set the most convincing orders on a green pitch. Each time we've played the result has been one-sided, with you thrashing me more than once. It's the nature of the result when our teams clash.

I was most surprised and am expecting a much tougher match next week! I'd never under-estimate a team that's of equal strength to mine steak and egg burger.
Good one Graham!

Great match Tyke even closer than last time!

Sorry I couldn't copy and paste the scorecard properly but it seems post reply won't show the full scorecard.

A 6 run victory to me. I was watching the last 10 overs of our match. With 9 wickets in hand Tyke needed over 100 runs to win in 10 overs. From overs 44-49, my bowlers went for 60 which was when your team started creeping closer and closer and a little doubt grew within my team. Off the last over Jammoes Lot needed 18 runs with 8 wickets in hand. The field was spread, my opening bowler Littlefair (Who was playing his first match for my team today) nervously charged in to bowl. Chungel scored three off the first ball then Poole smashed one into the boundary ropes for four to bring up his half century. A single of the next ball before Chungel hit another one through the covers for 4 bring up his half century. 6 runs in 2 balls wasn't out of the question. Littlefair cleverly mixed thigns up a bit and bowled a very good dot ball to make it 6 off the last ball for victory. With nothing to lose Chungel tried to hit out, backing away he tried to slash throught the covers. Instead the ball slipped under the bat and bowled him! Thus bringing an end to a very entertaining match.

Thanks for the two matches Tyke, both games were extremely close and could have gone either way! Our teams are very evenly matched! You've been a great opponent and I hope to play you again in the future, both of us having a newer and improved team! I'm very happy with 3rd place this being my first Cricket World Challenge Cup entrance.
