Tahir is a good bowler and might be a good pace bowler for England in the future. I can't seem to take wickets with pace bowlers, for me they get around 25-30 wickets a season but with spinners I can get over 100 easily.

I finally found a youngster that has the last name Bradman! Michael Bradman. He's actually very good, in the second team he averages 67 and in my first season with him he scored 1782 runs at an average of 81!

Whoa! ryanwkp you managed to score 1446 runs in 4 days (360 overs/90 overs a day). I tried batting the whole day once I scored 1337 for 7 but in 432 overs.
Robbie: I think i've nearly been every team for about one game. These are the players from each county that i played well with. Derbyshire: NONE, probaly the worst team i have played as. Durham: Ben Harmison, Gary Park, Dale Benkenstien, Kyle Coetzer, I know that there are good quality pace bowlers in Durham but as i posted earlier i can't seem to take wickets with them. I've also won the county championship with Durham. Essex: Bopara, Chopra, Jefferson, Both Flowers, Ten Doschate, Gough, Essex are a good allround team and have quality allrounders and batsman. Bowlers are a little bit weak and lots of players will retire the next season. Glamorgan: Powell, Hemp, Not the best team i have played with. Gloucestershire: Gidman, Harvey, Lewis, I couldn't get the batting order right so my batting fell apart. Hampshire: Ervine, Carberry, Pieterson, Crawley, Lamb, Udal, Tremlett, A very orgainised team with equal batting and bowling ability throughout the team. I found that the standout was Lamb. The allrounder took 121 wickets in a season and scored 923 runs. Udal can be useful as well but plays best when in a spinning partnership. I managed to come second in the county championship and 1st in the pro league. Kent: Key, Kemp, Saggers, I actually managed to bowl well with Kent but couldn't get it all together with the bat. Didn't win a thing. Lancashire: Law, Loye, Flintoff, Cork, Chapple, I played well with Lancashire won every trophy except county in a season. With a few descent overseas spinners are a strong team. Leicestershire: Ackerman, Habib, Nixon, Broad, Henderson, I couldn't do anything with this team! Middlesex: Compton, Joyce, Strauss, Shah, Dalrymple, Silverwood, I played very well with Middlesex, They may need a good overseas spinner but are very competative. Northampshire: Panesar, Klusener, Sales, Panesar was a huge standout but couldn;t bat well enough to win anything. Nottinghampshire: Shreck, Sidebottom, The bowlers played a big role when i played took wicket and chipped in with 20s and 30s. Somerset: Trescothic, Dursten, Hildreth, caddiŁk, Johnson,Willoughby. Played well in the limited over games but couldn't get anything going in the county championship. If your going to play as Somerset try and sign a good overseas batsman. Surrey: Since i go for this team i might be a little baised . Everyone! Surrey is a great team, i kept winning the county championships every year! Clarke and Newman were fantastic! GO SURREY!
Sussex: Goodwin, Rayner, Martin-Jenkins, Prior, Yardy, A good team but you will need an overseas batsman to win a trophy. Warwickshire: I've currently got two files set up, Warickshire and Surrey. Warickshire is the second best team i have played as. Bell, Trott, Wagh, Brown, Tahir, Giles are great players and should be that hard to challenge for the champioship right away. Worcestshire: Hick, Moore, Solanki, Mason, Moore is definalty a highlight but i couldn'd do much to help the bowling. Yorkshire: McGrath, Vaughan, White, Hoggard, Rashid, Rashid was a complete standout! He took over 100 wickets every year! Although the problem was that he kepy going on international duty and my team sufficated without him. Yorkshire are a good team to play with. Well I hope that helped you choose a team! This is only my opinion. I didn't include any international players. Choose wisely! Whoa I got carried away there! I think thats the longest post I've ever posted!

Have a look at this guy, this is in 2007 and I just found him in the database, but I haven't signed him, look at that batting average considering when he's a bowler.

I signed him in 2011. By that time he had a batting average of 61.54 and a bowling average of 36.01. I couldn't believe he was a bowler either!

It's in the year 2007 in the game, it's the Ashes Edition 2006/07 version of the game, I downloaded the Sky Sports skin from another website.

MP12 you were wrong im doing amazing in the county championship i have played 3 CC games and 3 50 overs games and won all 6 in one of the 50 over games i hit 384 with Wood and Blackwell sharing a 351 run partnership Wood getting 186 not out and Blacwell like 150 not out and the trescothick at number 1 got like 20
in the county champioship i have won every game by an innings practically first game by like an innings and 200 runs second was by 8 wickets and then third by 10 wickets.
i signed a batsman but he was injured.
all the bolwers are amazing Willoughby and Johnson are my opening bowlers and usually get 4 wickets in the first 20 overs of any game. and caddiŁk and White(spinner) then come on and do the rest all bowlers are good.
Should i sell Dan Cullen at the end of season i dont use him and then i could sign a quality batsman to get me a stronger middle order.

Dan Cullen should be sold if you're not going to play him, you should consider the ages of players before buying them

Well done Robbie you've done really well! I'm definatly impressed by the way you are going in the County Championship. What place are you coming in the 50 over game? I think in the next edition of cricket captain they should include the ability to trade players with other teams on the internet. For example after you play an internet game you could have the option to trade a player with the other person. Of course you could only have 2 international players. Well keep up the good work robbie!
70_Degrees_Spin: For such a young team it scares me to think that some of your players may not have reached thier full potential! Edited by MP12 - 15 April 2007 at 12:42am |

I'm Somerset as well Robbie, only started it this morning, so far I've won 2 out of 3 County Championship games and won 1 out of 2 Challenge Trophy matches, annoyingly Trescothick is on international duty with England so I'm opening with Matthew Wood and Neil Edwards in County Championship, and Edwards and Carl Gazzard in the Challenge Trophy, Cameron White is a really good pinch-hitter too, I made a steady opening partnership chasing around 260 and I was 80-1 off 20 overs and I brought him in on full aggresion and he smashed 58 off 31 balls. My opening bowlers are caddiŁk and Willoughby with Johnson and Munday as my main bowlers in the County Championship with Blackwell, White and Parsons bowling too, in the one-day game I put in Phillips or Laraman for Munday becuse he's not that good in one-day cricket. My County Championship team is: Edwards, Wood, Hildreth, White, Parsons, Blackwell, Gazzard, Johnson, caddiŁk, Munday and Willoughby
My one-day team is: Wood, Gazzard, Suppiah, Parsons, White, Blackwell, Hildreth, Laraman, Johnson, caddiŁk and Willoughby
In the transfer market I've signed two promising youngsters, Christian Wodehouse, whose a batsman and who averages 64.57 in Second XI cricket and Thomas New, a keeper-batsman who averages 36.77 in Second XI cricket, and I intend to use both of them at some stage in the season.

So I guess White or Blackwell is your main spinner then? I don't ever use Durston, Trego, Andrew or Francis amongst others, I would use Trescothick but he's away on international duty at the World Cup. So is Spurway your keeper or not? On my game he's out injured for 4 months with a broken leg. |

How's this for a recovery, not fielding a usual team, Blackwell's out injured for a few days so I've given Wodehouse a chance instead, only Cameron White really took the attack to the bowlers and was unlucky not to reach his 100, but look at caddiŁk, still I did well to recover from 50-6 to 225:
