oh, I'm up against Zuhair first up, that should be interesting... I'll give my team and conditions by tonight Blade... considering the fact that our game is 3rd in the list.

Milky and NZ_Fast, post your teams soon, and Milky the pitch and conditions too... so that we can get underway!

I think you're free to go ahead and name your conditions, team etc sam while we wait for milks.

PS, I won't be on for probably at least 20 hours now. I won't name a team though since I have no idea what the conditions are going to be.

It should be an interesting match indeed. The nature of the pitch somewhat nullifies my very strong seam attack but my two spinners stats (avg, SR) are basically identical to Saqlains; of course you have Mendis though. My seamers are better stats wise so I'm hoping for a couple of early breakthroughs. Your batting is slightly stronger in terms of openers and tail end, with the middle orders being very similar.

I wouldn't say my team was the underdogs, it's to close for that, but I would say you have an ever so slight advantage.

I have a pretty strong side which was what I was aiming for in the pool, however I didn't select my players on the basis of averages and SR and I wish I did. However Hughes and Mendis are probably the statistically best players in the pool and I nabbed them pretty late in the rounds as well, no one wanted them. Pollock has great stats with the ball, Johnson and Kallis are okay too. Hoping my 3 spinners do the trick, which is why I went for Jayasuriya ahead of Younis who averages 50 and in my opinion it's a good gamble considering Huss averages 55, Hughes 61, Kallis mid-50s, D Hussey 54, Prior 40-odd and Johnson, Jaya and Pollock at the bottom 30+.

I don't think so , your back up team is infact as good as full strength team.Ponting will have headache when the mainstays comeback, though that is a good sign for captain to have lot of options rather than no option, but bad sign for competing members as they come under pressure. What happened with Prince-Duminy?Funny things happen.

Sometimes weak and second string (inexperienced) new teams are blessing in disguise, can I give better example than Inagural T20World Cup victory by India. That was the point when oldies in team started getting pressure, and media started questioning.

any number as along as you don't cross 20 players. You can remove few players and replace them with your choices.

i am not too sure Mystery that you can now select players of your own chose. At least not without Blade's approval. Good to have you back - you could have been more responsible though.
