ok i was looking on bbc at scorecards when i came up to this scorecard from essex against worcestershire i think it was

A N Cook not out

66
32 13 1
M L Pettini not out

114
29 12 11
Extras

6nb 6

Total

for 0 186 (9.4 ovs)

no this looks impossibly it was a county championship 4day match i odnt know if it is just an error or true but wouldnt that be the fastest 50,s and fastest 100 because to get that amount of runs in less than 10 overs is unbeleivable

If its true they only ran 8 of their runs. seems like an impressive strike rate for Cook ;-)

It was the match against Leicestershire on the final day of last season. After the teams agreed a target for Leics to chase in the 4th innings they had to get Essex up to that score asap so opened the bowling with the wicket keeper and opening bat.

Scores in such contrived circumstances are excluded from being records.

Leicestershire won the match Smile

How can't you call that brilliant? That many runs off of those overs. One word:

                UNBELIEVEABLE
