I can't see both Yardy and Dalrymple in the team and Jamie must be in pole position at the moment

I think Yardy is the better player. More of a batsman but we need a big hitter. He's quite capable of bowling skiddy left arm spin to tuck up the batsman too.

Having seen Yardy play yesterday...He has a massive tirgger movement, i think with shoibs pace he might struggle, you need to be so still when facing some one like shoiab, Yardy could struggle!

Yep...im just saying...He might prove me wrong massively! I based it on seeing some guys who have freak triggrr movements and end up going LBW because the head ends up way over offstump, its so important to be still at the crease, Sehwaq has shown footwork is not everything as long as you have a good hand/ eye coordination!

I think everyone in this forum owes me an apology because I said he
could bowl at 85mph and you all laughed at me and said I'd lost all my
respect but what did he do in the 20:20 match? Did an 86mph ball. SO
THERE!

get a grip, the on screen speedometer has been all over the place during these limited overs games. Last night Shoaib nearly took someone's head off with a bouncer and it came up at 68mph on the screen, then his slower ball registered in the high 80's.
Anyway you also said he was good, and I notice you at least aren't claiming that was accurate. |

By the looks for his Eco rate compared to Broad's the only thing he was scaring was the scorekeeper hoping he had enough room to write down Goughy's final figures.... |

Darren Gough is a has been, although i hate to say it but thats the case, he was my fave cricketer but he will get humiliated when the pak batting line gets a chance at his 10 overs and the champions trophy, on flat pitches, which he has a poor record on will spell end of the road for him. Onions might as well have played instead of Goughy. He made another classive remark, " this england team has guys who lack self confidence and self belief to compete against pak". Are these the words of encrougement everyone thought Goughy will give to the youngstes?! Edited by inzamam329 |

But because he "was" so good, he can always bring it back in him if he tries real hard.

Only in very very small bursts - with his pace gone his threat is minimal and results are showing he is basically cannon fodder for quality batsmen

Mr Gough has developed a convenient injury that rules him out of the rest of this series, which obviously is just the excuse he needs to stop serving up pies all round the place without having to admit he just isn't good enough any more

I still don't understand why everyone is against him. He's one of the
few people around who make cricket exciting. His batting display
in the first 1 day proved that. And he is a good cricketer, still
the best one day bowler in England. Better than anyone with a name
that is also a vegetable.

Today's game will see whether you're right lad. If Sky's weather report can be believed , the game should go ahead in bright sunshine and temperatures around 25C - that's brilliant for September. Somehow I don't think 25C will prove too hot for the visitors though! |

They actually performed nicely together Clobs and on the slow tracks in India I expect them both to start in all the matches. |
