Give me the starting date of the ashes and the ending dates of the ashes this year and I will tell you how many catches they have taken each.

It's okay, I found the dates, and I found that in the Ashes, Geraint Jones took 15 catches and stumped 1.
Gilchrist took 18 catches and also stumped 1.

From memory, I'd say Jones dropped at least 3, and missed 2 stumpings
Gilchrist dropped two chances, possibly 3

Just read an article and it says that Geraint Jones dropped 2 catches and missed a couple of stumpings.

Can't find anything conclusive but I'd forgotten about the run out Jones muffed as well.

Which match was that in and what exactly happened. I don't recall him missing a run out.

Can't remember but he broke the stumps having dropped the ball
beforehand. I think Strauss threw it and had Jones left it it would
have hit the stumps and got a wicket.

Im not biased in any way,but i think Gilly droped none and jones dropped ohh from memorie,30 odd
In all seriousness Barmy,it is hard to get dropped catches records as they are debatable as to whether a catch was a clear catch or a half chance or it even hit a glove etc,so i dont think you will find any such records for that reason m8.

jones didn't drop 30 catches. I already mentioned that he dropped 2 and missed one stumping and I've been looking for something about the runout -JP- mentioned that Jones missed.
Do you know what -JP- is talking off?

well, that's obvious. Jones can't be compared to Gilchrist because Gilchrist is one of the best keepers (and the best keeper-batsman) and Jones is one of the worst keeper.
