it does look like a heritage, and it is really expensive. i converted the price from aussie dollars to brithish punds, and the price came to around £260.00, for the players model, and the 1000 came to £230.00.
looks like i wont be getting that then, but i really really want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

well i am sure you will be seeing them all over the ebay in no time :) I do think the only reason the GN fusion looks huge is because it is probably pressed less? compare to the usual off the shelf bats anyway.

Na i think its because its quite concave, so with the high spine it looks big, i wouldn't mind one though, its just the price tag!

Gn Fusion has a hollow carbon reinforced handle. By taking weight out of the handle GN have been able to put this extra weight into the blade. This gives it a huge profile with the extra wood.

forgive me if i sound ignorent, but when then centre of gravity is further from hands the bat will feel heavy/unbalance correct? surely you will not want a light handle? wouldnt it make the bat feel even heavier if the weight you have taken out of the handle is being placed onto the blade itself? |

This is a bit of information i got from meulemans about the gn xxx2 custom made and the gn fusion. This first bit is generally about the xxx2 The Custom Made has a lot larger profile than the 1000 the width of the bat is left as big as the cleft will allow and the willow is carefully chosen to be the lightest possible. Then i asked about how the xxx2 compares to the new gn fusion
The XXX2 are the bigger of the 2 bats and give you a lot softer feel when you hit the ball. The amount of grains very, |

I knew the GN Fusion carbon handle theory was illogical, there is no way that having a lighter handle would improve the pick up as all the weight would be at the bottom(unless you like your bat to pick up like a 1 Wood). GN seem to be having a laugh with us - have you seen the OZ GN advert with the oversized fusion that must have three inch edges!!! Also if this handle is so good, why does Mr Hayden not have it on his bat?? I saw an image of a him using a fusion and you can quite clearly see that the top of the handle is made from wood/cane!!! |

yeah it is just crazy. Puma came up with the foam injected handle last year too and one of the biggest downfalls of Ballistic range is its poor pick up. A bat with low middle and a light handle..i dont think it takes a rocket scientist to know it is a combo for disaster. However, anyone swung a C6+ from Newbery? What are those spliceless bats like?

my mates got a mojlnir c6+ and thats an absoulute beauty. its pick is sooooo light and it weighs 2.10, its got massive amounts of wood behinde the sweetspot. i wouldnt mind one of those. i had a couple of shots with it and the handle didn't really feel to much different from any other except when i tried toeing the bat, to see if i got vibrations in the handle, it didn't vibrate that much.

oh real? I have always wonder what the benefit is for being 'spliceless', is it weight reduction or enhanced balancing..?

if some of you are thinking that the gn fusion is a bit pricey for you then click this link. look at this gn exclusive bat, it is exclusive to the cricket warehouse shop. to me, this bat looks pretty similar to the fusion and its cheaper. http://www.cricketwarehouse.com.au/images/catalog/cricket_ca talog6.pdf |

i think the spyda looks ok seems like it could use some more bow..it would be hard for me to use a bat like that over here in the states as the outfields are too heavy..but it seems like a light pickup tho....i want to get the fusion but i have read some negative reviews on it im really interested in what the pickup is like

I don't see the negative info about the GN Fusion.
I personally just bought the Players Fusion, a whopping $630!! Pick Up IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Trust me! This bat has amazing pickup compared to the size of it. It without a doubt is a bat that has the best pick up that I have ever held. Amazingly, the bat that I felt came second was the Puma Stealth 5000, which was closely followed by "The Don" from Slazenger. As for the handle. I'm pretty sure its not a HOLLOW Carbon handle but just made entirely of Carbon. It seems to allow greater strength and control, but I'm not sure about that as I haven't used my bat yet. But Trust me, the pick up is amazing, you won't find anything similar anywhere. It will be worth the money. I'll report after I use it in the nets. I don't know how the criticism started about the handles etc, but I will see how it goes, it will be bad if my $630 bat turns out to be useless, but I'm backing it, and if something does go wrong, I'm going to contact Gray Nicolls or GCCC and make sure I get another bat worth my money. There is no way I'm spending so much money for a bat with a useless handle. Does Hayden actually use a normal Cane handle?? |

I'm being serious! It has the best pick up out of any of the bats I've seen. That includes Impala and Bradbury and all the other mainstream brands. |

Here is an email that I sent to GCCC.
Hi , For the amount of wood and profile of the GN Fusion range
their pick up is outstanding. They do sound a little tinny or even hollow when
struck with a ball or mallet but the 'ping' of them is sensational. It is by
far our best seller this year and all the feedback from other customers has been
positive. If you are unhappy with the pick up of the bat you may return it,
provided it has not been used.
Yours in Cricket
