I think South Africa will win the group winning both matches. with the West Indies v Bangladesh match deciding who progress. I think a close match but West Indies just win.

Funny enough, although West Indies hasn't been playing good cricket for the last few years, they have gotten SA under pressure in tournaments!

SA play Bangladesh at Newlands and if the weather doesn't improve the Bangladeshis won't enjoy the pitch !

Hoping for an upset. WI will be a much easier target for Bangladesh than SA.

Stay positive Rifat - the South Africans are very average against quality spin and your side should boast at least three !

Not ideal preparation for SA leading up to this with all the unrest in their camp over Kallis.

LOLLOL Don't be too sure about the windies beating Bangladesh. Remember for the worldcup...Bang beat Ind so if they could beat a team like India they can definately beat the windies! But I do agree with your prediction that South Africa will win this group. That's logical thinking!Wink

That has to be a while ago Spin because in the most recent tournament (worldcup) the windies played really bad! I guess you are referring to the ICC champion trophey and the worldcup in south africa.

Nawwwwwwwww Daisy, although the Windies are not up to scratch, they're not that weak against spinners like SA. Gayle will welcome them anytime!

Ok there are some players on the windies team that could play good against spinners like Chanderpaul and Sarwan. I don't know how good Gayle is against them though. Then again Gayle's a hitter so either he hits the ball or the ball hits his wicket or his pads. Mind you he does not have a lot of footwork so that's one of his problems. However, once he makes contact the ball is going to go because he has power!

Bosman ruled out for the Proteas - a way back in for Kallis?

Unlikely, but you never know...

I hadn't taken that into consideration. I guess that rules out Morne Van Wyk too then. (?)

Less than a week to go. I'll soon be watching SA take on WI live at the Wanderers. This is gonna be fun....

Let's hope it's a high-scoring game.

Andre Nel named as the replacement for Bosman.

Cricket South Africa have stated they have chosen to pick another bowler after they looked 'under-done' against Zimbabwe.

In a 20/20 match their is need for more bowlers than batsman, it's only 20 overs for batting.
