heh heh, best day of the month so far for me. What a day.
Scare, big scare, massive scare for Aussie.
I do expect aussie to bounce back big time but who cares Zimbabwe has defeated Aussie.
england may be more trouble now. Edited by BackFoot Master - 12 September 2007 at 8:54pm |

Ironically the rain ended up saving Zimbabwe and not Australia as it seemed at the time - they had lost their heads at that stage but the break enabled them to regain some composure and see the job through

Well done to ZIM and it just shows that any team can win the tournament, well, 10 teams really. Kenya and Scotland aren't in contention in my book.
Anyways, when I saw Ponting depart, I knew it was going to be a good game. Brent did the damage early on with the ball and he was putting the ball in the right places for that sort of track. Utseya didn't bowl good in my book. He should have bowled some flatter and try to get them to spin on that slow wicket!
For Aussie, Mitchell Johnson did the right thing by bowling a lot of short pitch deliveries! Minnows as the commentators mentioned prefer pitch up balls than the shorter ones. Anyways, credit to the hero of the day Taylor. Some beautiful cut shots and boy I tell you, he does play them real good and those 2 sixes off Hodge was spectacular and that brought the game back in ZIM favour.

OH My words can't describe today's match. It is the best match so far in this tournament. I really enjoyed this match.....(yes it's possible). . Great batting from Taylor. However, some of the Zim's batsmen were giving away their wickets. I saw I think 2 Zimbabwean batsmen get out in almost the same way. They made contact with the ball and it skied in the air and of course Gilly won't miss those. That was probably just giving away your wicket. They need to work on that. However, overall it was a great performance. I'd like it if the win this 2020 worldcup. England may really feel the aussies wrath after this big upset today! England will have to play really hard!

Congratulations, Zimbabwe! You have already done yourselves proud. Even if you fail to win another match at this tournament, you can still walk away with your heads held high.

I can't see Australia slipping up again Mojo, but, given this form of the game its entirely possible.
Are we entering a new era in cricket people? I'm sure this game will be warmed too based purely on the fact that Australia are getting beaten- and it always encourages people to view sporting events when the games wide open. One of the reasons soccer is so popular one feels.

This is a good wake up call for Australia.. this could be the catalyst that propels them to win or the first sign of an early early exit |

When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat. |

just saw Sledger take a blinder of a catch from Pietersen in the stands.
Yeah, 188 is way too much for zimbabwe.
Super stuff from KP, Reserve sweep for six was brillant.
Mr. Ponting and co ain't like this kind of stuff.

What the hell.
B. Taylor somehow found a Sehwag tape. Fantastic cut shot for six over point.
Boundaries flowing faster than the river, 46/0 from 4.4 overs.
Braod and anderson getting something heavy. Edited by BackFoot Master - 13 September 2007 at 2:53pm |

You should have learned by now not to make bold comments in a T20 match. Zim seems to be handling the 188 tally quite nicely so far... |

I don't think you'll have to worry about that, BFM. Zim lost 3 wickets in a short time, including the prized scalp of Brendon Taylor. Their required run rate is also climbing very fast. Looks like England is fighting back nicely.
