Where is Ross Taylor likely to bat, I wonder? #4?

Yep he'll bat at three or four. Doesn't really matter too much. Dominating performance by NZ, fulton was really going for it at the end.

He's more likely to come in at 5 given that they're going to use Fulton at three and shove Oram up the order. I'd like to see Taylor bat in this form of the game though, he's got a fantastic eye and is a treat to watch once settled. He played some fabulous innings in the ODI series in Australia at the beginning of the year- let's hope he can repeat it.

They also have Jayawardene, Dilshan and Vaas who can strike a ball well.

Sri Lanka's T20 uniform looks exactly like India's.
When I first looked at the game I thought it was India playing Kenya. |

Anyone here thinks that Jayasuriya might pass Gayle's score?

Sri Lanka's on their way to a new highest team total here. I don't see Kenya stopping them with their bowlers conceding 20+ runs an over.

Mubarak blazes 46* off 13 balls as Sri Lanka set an immense 260 for 6, but missed the last ball ruining his shot at immortality!

Wow, insane score. Many teams struggle to reach 260 in ODIs never mind T20s.

46* off 13. That really takes some going.
Have to feel sorry for Kenya though, they will have been looking to be quite competitive in this tournament, their lack of experience of 20/20 has really showed. |

SL looked to be very strong. NZ will have to have their wits about them if they want to win this one. Should be a very close match between the two teams. Jayasuriya is the one to look out for!!

New Zealand is very strong too but didn't get much runs in the first match because of Kenya rubbish batting. Sri Lanka will have to come the same hard way as New Zealand will to Sri lanka.

You're right there mate. This isn't an ODI game where the likes of Murali can turn the match in the middle overs. It will be an intense game and is likely to give a indication of at least one of the finalists. |

Nice win for SL....they beat a really good team so they should be very happy with themselves. Very good batting from Sanath J. I had a feeling though that spectators were not the only people enjoying his batting...Shane Bond was probably enjoying the innings too because he dropped a catch he should have DEFINATELY taken! OH well you can't blame the man cause Sanath was providing entertainment!

Disappointed with NZ, though not an entirely surprising win from the Sl team.
NZ now has a game against india? I dont get how this tournament works at all. |

if none of you have seen Jacob Oram bat then tonight was a good opportunity. When he gets going he's a treat to watch- really clears that front hip and hits straight!
