If Ireland can win this (which they most certainly can from the position they are in now), and Zimbabwe lose both their other matches then Ireland will have qualified for the Super Eights. What a great performance.

Is it just me or we gonna see new cricketing world order really soon, look at today's matches. Yesterday's heavyweight are today's minnows and vice versa.

Back up just a little bit....as this is being written neither india nor pakistan are out of the world cup....just yet.

So Ireland win, not a lot you can say really except well done to Ireland, fantastic job.

Having not actually seen the game i cant say the Pakistan were outplayed but it does look that way

Amazing victory for the Irish, thoroughly deserved and this is surely one of the biggest upsets in international cricket history. By the way I'd just like to point out that Zimbabwe can still qualify if they beat either Pakistan or the West Indies and Ireland lose their final group match.

Couldn't believe it. Though after seeing them choke like they did against the West Indies I wrote them off immediately.

A very very sad news for cricket world today. Bob Wolmer died of heart attack in his hottel room. They took him to the hospital but he was dead an hour before they got to the hospital. IT's gonna be a very big shock for the team bigger than getting out of the cup.  

 What a St Patrick's Day to remember!!  Abysmal batting from the Pakistani's , and a solid bowling and fielding performance from the Irishmen (and Aussies!). Just how low Pakistan can fall never fails to amaze me - with the terrible loss of Bob Woolmer who would bet against Zimbabwe beating them as well?
     The Irish must just give it everything against the hosts , they'll probably get badly beaten , but they could still be going into the super 8's!

   It's good to see a few upsets , the last round robin matches have a great deal more interest now and hopefully that'll be reflected in the attendances.
