Because rules is rules and I agree entirely with his banning, as I do the many track and field athletes banned for taking drugs you or I need to get through our working days and treat as normal everyday life.  My point is we need to be very careful about the use of the word cheat - if I take Sudafed to help me work through a cold it is ok, if a sportsman takes it whilst competing it is cheating?
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

macgill is another player that is never mentioned, he would propobly be the 2nd best spinner ever if he had played for a different country

kumble is unlucky that he plays in the same generation as warne

Kumble isn't unlucky as he and Warne wasn't competing for a spot in the same side which is the case with Warne and MacGill.

So Warney used it to look good on the TV

I think Anil is no more affective now-a-days. He shoud not be included in world cup team.  We should use Ramesh Power as an all-rounder player.

Without Kumble, y'all would have never won that test series in the Caribbean. Kumble has bowled very well for the last few years. He even did it against the World champs.

Taking Kumble to the Caribbean is the right move , the man is capable of closing down any batsman who's going ballistic.
It's well documented that he's not the biggest spinner of the ball , but he takes shedloads of wickets!   His change of pace , that topspinner and the bounce often ctach out the best of batsmen.

He'd be in my side , that's how good he is.
Mental disintegration works for me !!

Kumble has always been Mr. Reliable in my eyes.  I dont find it annoying or irritating that he doesnt turn the ball much.  Hes got almost 550 test wickets and more than 300 ODI wickets.  That is a great record.  His variations are unique.  He is a match-winner and I applaude his work ethic. I remember him continuing to bowl after he suffered a broken jaw.  Great stuff!!!

I do not agree with the person who said that he is not an ODI bowler.  I believe he has been India's deadliest bowler since the mid-90s until just recently.

I sincerely hope he signs off his ODI career in style with a 5-wicket haul during the WC.  He will leave me with a lot of great memories when he decides to hang up his boots.

I think this has what has stopped Kumble from not getting to 600 yet .Even after taking 500 wickets he said that people still question his talent .I hope he answeres back strongly as he has always done and ends his ODI career on the high .

He hung up his boots today.  He will be sorely missed.  Thank you, Anil, for all the memories.

I will be looking forward to him becoming the first Indian bowler to get to 600 test wickets.
