Well this thread is just to find out the ways for playing the danger seam bowling especially from a bowler who is perfect with his line and length and can seam the bowl in both ways from a single spot as do shaun , mcgrath and asif do.
So please add ur viewpoints about playing such bowlers.
Thanks

Best way is to take a single and play them brilliantly from the nonstriker end, as generally most batsmen will fall if they play all six balls of an over with a new ball to any of them!

Exactly, the hardest bowlers to face are those who rarely make an error. Trying to turn over the strike frustrates any bowler, but to these men is the best strategy.

Merit and taking care of them before they take care of you.

But often you get into a rut by being to cautious. He was looking for actual batting methods to counter them, not jus theory. Attacking the bowler by advancing down the pitch or improvising can often disrupt their line and length, though be careful. The reason for this is because an accurate bowler often bowls the same channels and can be easier to pick than an erratic quick bowler.

That's what I meant. Get on top of them before they get on top of you.

From memory Dean Jones and Mark Greatbatch both used their crease well. Sometimes back in it and next ball 3 foot outside it to subtley vary the length.

Judge the player not by their stats, but by their opposition.
