Hussey is coming to be a great cricket but where does he stand As an opener he has scored a century but is very vulnerable, as any batsman is at the higher order As a middle order batsman he is the only batsman that stands up when the top order fails, but with no help from Gilly or Symonds he hasn't got much chance to score runs with the tail enders |

Although he is good enough to be a top class opener, his hustle and bustle
really suits the middle order plus it gives a security level to the
line-up

Middle order, he gives stability to a currnelty insecure batting line-up (if him or ponting don't fire there's been trouble lately). |

He should be at No.5. I agree with all of you. He gives stabiltity to the middle order. There are already enough good players at the top of the order.

Hussey is better in the middle order especially in ODIs because he is very good at slogging near the end of the innings.

Consistency is the key.

Hussey has all the characteristics of an opener I've seen him go from extreme defensive play to super smasher He would be perfect as opener, he doesn't get enough of a hit with the tail enders. |

Bat him at 1, 5 or 7 and he is going to perform.

I chose number 5. I think he would be great at any posititon, but I feel lower down lets him play his own game. He plasy himself in and if he is left with the tail he opens his shoulders and batters it to all parts of the game. Class is all I can say about him

Hussey has scored a century as opener, when Langer goes I'd bring in Hussey up the order and David Hussey can come in |

Well,I don't really think order matters to Hussey, he can probably score a century at which ever number he plays in the top order. But number 5 is the best place for him to be, as it is, Australia already have 2 world class openers in Hayden and Langer as well as the best number 3 in the world, Ponting. That is why he should bat in the middle order

Great batsman anywhere in the order. He will always do a job for the team batting in any position.

Hussey can bat anywhere in the order and he can rescue an innings. A perfect player to have in your team.
