Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB11) play their first match againt Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA11) at Hyderababd today .bengal captain Deep Dasgupta said that the pitch is slow so they might drop an extra seamer for a spinner .Former Indian captain Ganguly will bat at no 4 in the first innings while may open in the 2nd innings .

making the thread was no probs dips... just the fact that we didn't have a clue what you were talking about by that thread name... as AK said.. a Thread name called "Indian Domestic Cricket" would've made a lot more sense

Exactly Claps , nothing wrong with the thread Dips.

Then again , if someone wants to report on some obscure game just for general interest , use "shoutbox".

An 86 ball 72 from SOurav ganguly did not help CAB as they lost by 47 runs in the 2nd innings .Ganguly kept the crowd well entertained throughout the match  taking 2 for 13 in the 1st innings then scorin 47 .His 72 included 5 huge sixes and 6 boundaries .After the match Ganguly said it was feeling nice to score some runs finally and they had lost since it was the start of their season and hoped they would get better soon .he also said it was a good preparation ahead of thr RANJI TROPHY matches .

Well after rejecting the captaincy to concentrate on making his comeback in the Indian team ,former team India captain Sourav Ganguly has agreed to captain bengal in the Duleep Trophy .Maybe it can tuirn out good for him as it will make him feel more ithe game and he can control the team as well .It might just help him concentrate more and that might help his batting as well .

East Zone take on Centrall today in the first match of the Duleep Trophy .The green pitch has prompted captain OSurav Ganguly to field 3 seamers with him being thr 4th if required  .Sourashishs Lahiri will be the lone spinner .Brief scores will be given by me over here .

Likely 11:  Shiv Sunder Das, Subhomay Das, Avishek Jhunjhunwala, Rohan Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, Deep Dasgupta(wk), Laxmi Ratan Shukla, Sourashish Lahiri, Asok Dinda, ranadeb Bose, Debashsish Mohanty .

South Zone looking very strong. Have won all their games and are looking to win the Trophy. That makes me happy. The players in the team have some good batsman. Venugopal Rao, Laxman, Uttappa, etc.

What is the Irani Trophy?

Ganguly will not play another game, he has upset alot of important people during his time as captain, where he thought he was untouchable and above everyone. Now its the selectors who will have the last word. Its a shame because he is a fine fine ODI player.

He is still playing, plus if Kaif and Raina don't play well in South Africa, Ganguly and Laxman might get a comeback call. That's what cricinfo said. Well, actually the Indian selection commitee said.

I think Kaif has been in good enough form. He can stay.
