The Final for the Intercontinental cup will be held at Grace Road the four day match starts off on tuestday May 22.If you are in or around Leicester this week, then head down to Grace Road to catch the Intercontinental Cup final – for free. That’s right. It’s your chance to see Canada (including John Davison) take on the reigning champions and World Cup heroes Ireland. I just found out from cricIinfo
It's going to be a good match but I think Ireland are going to win because they had a succesful world cup and have been playing cricket since then in the county tournament. Canada on the other hand got one practice match since but still it should be a good match. |

Lunch on day 1 of the 4 day match and Canada need Clobs !!
They lost the toss , were sent in and are 75-9 at lunch! Impressive bowling from the Irish and Davidson went 1st ball to Aussi-Irishman Langford Smith to really set them back. Look at these figures Trent-Johnson 9-4-12-3 Fourie 6-2-18-3 and then this one , off the BBC website.... O'Brien 3.4-2-0-2 !!!!! Anyone any idea how one can bowl a non-maiden and not concede a run ? I'm baffled and am dying to find out!!  |
