Never got into Lost, it's a boxset i'll buy eventually.
Yeah i watched Prison Break, first season was great, very Shawshank which can only be a good thing. Liked the 2nd season, 3rd was awful, 4th was strange.

I was big on Prison Break for the first season, just couldn't maintain the tempo since the breakout.
Shawshank is a class apart though one of my all-time fav's. By the way just had a movie marathon this weekend. Watched X-men- first class , got more than I'd bargained for, Hangover-II, old wine new bottle same story different cover, Kungfu Panda- II , had its moments enjoyed it, and Hanna, less said the better. X-Men : First Class - 7.5 Hangover-II - 6.5 Kungfu Panda- II - 6.5 Hanna - 4.5 |

In between watching/listening to lots of 'The Ricky Gervais Show' at the weekend I re-watched Kevin Smith's 'Clerks' and 'Dogma' both great films in my opinion from an amazing series of films. Never fail to make me laugh.

Yeah i caught X-Men: First Class when it released, really enjoyed it, still favour Thor though. I'd give X-Men about an 8.5!
Kevin Smith is brilliant, have you seen the animated series of Clerks? My favourite of his though, if not the Clerks films, would be Mallrats, Jason Lee is good too!

Yeah, the Clerks series was one of those shows that was too good to last (if that makes sense). I like Mallrats, especially Silent Bob's Batman inspired get-up and the 'where do you get those wonderful toys' reference etc. The Smith movie i've probably watched most though is either JASBSB or Clerks II.

I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 the other night. I didn't want to see it particularly, although i quite enjoyed reading them and even the other films.
My girlfriend had just bought it though and i'm glad i did watch it. There's always such an atmosphere when watching them, and it's amazing some of the things they do in those films! All in all, i'd give it about a 7.5/10 maybe an 8, but i'd definitely recommend watching it. Will plan to see the second part in cinema and will update on that as well  - EDIT: My favourite part was a story told within the Harry Potter story. The Three Brothers i think it was called, and it was fantastic. Loved the animation they used for the story telling as well!

Watched 'The Informant!' last night. Not bad, a bit muddled. A good story but it doesn't go about telling it very well. Out of 10, probably a 6.

Andrew, i've prefered reading the Harry Potter books than the movies. More fun time - to be honest, I don't read much but the Harry Potter books are gripping stuff. The opening chapters are the only dull moments (although they're not always dull). After that, its full of action, drama etc, the full package.
Which one has been your favourite read? I rate the Half Blood Prince book the best.

Watched 'State of Play' last night. Just 'Loved' it. Very close to being my favourite Russell Crowe flick. Also my most favoured Genre , Thriller Drama. Had most of the ingredients I would want from a movie Conspiracy, Sex, Lies, Crime, Betrayal and most importantly a fabulous climax 'the star of the show'. Great performances by Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren (just lloove her accent and attitude) too.

Have to agree with you, as powerful as the films can and have been the books are something else. I'd probably agree with you on Half Blood Prince, although Goblet of Fire was pretty gripping towards the end, and i loved the whole sort of murder mystery thing of the 'frozen students and who did it' in Chamber of Secrets. Hate to pick a favourite really, i really enjoyed them all, i think  Have you seen the latest film, do you know the scene i'm talking about with the animation's etc?

The HP films have never been of interest to me, perhaps it's cos i only read the first book and that was ages ago. I can see from the outside that they are extremely well made though and industry wise they are(were) a massive asset to the British industry.
I've lined up 'Ghostbusters' on blu-ray for tonights viewing. One of my all time favourite movies. Anyone else into blu-ray? I think it's great, prices are starting to come down too which is always good.

Ghostbusters is great, anything with Bill Murray is really, although Ghostbusters has a lot more going for it too! I quite like Blu-ray but like you said about price, i won't switch over until films lower in price, i've built quite the collection of DVD, so will be a while before i change! |

Andrew, I can't vividly remember how the animations went in the movie but remembering the story from the book is helping me to remember some of it. The Wand, the stone and the cloak. Has no one watched Transformers III yet?? Had watched it weekend. Have never been too keen on it but went for it anyways. Thought it was better than the second. 6/10
Also went for an Indian movie 'Delhi Belly'. For those who can follow the language its a must see (Hindi Version). Came out with a smile on my face. 8.5/10 There's also an English version of the movie, I hear its equally good for others interested. Haven't watched it myself so won't preach on it yet. I'm sure there many out there waiting for the last of the Potter series. |

I watched Transformers III, very ordinary - did not enjoy it at all.
I just saw Ghajini, another Indian movie , starring Aamir Khan I believe. Excellent flick, 7.5/10. |

The concept of Ghajini was ripped off straight out of an English flick called Memento, but both have been made in totally distinct ways.

Apparently, with the final Harry Potter film, there will be a Batman: Dark Knight Rises trailer attached. Which will be the first seen..
I think that's great, really liked the first one...

Would it be unfair to say that that TDKR teaser tralier would probably be the best thing about that trip to the cinema?
 . Only joking.Huge fan of both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight (not to mention just about all the Batman movies from the previous franchise) so can't wait for the new one. Got a whole year before it's out though!

 Yes!  I really enjoyed TDK, never actually saw the whole of Begins, and liked quite a few of the older ones. I actually caught the trailer online, taken down 5 minutes later, and it doesn't give a lot away.Burton's batman was one of my older favourites, i'm quite a fan of his style of work though to be honest..

I'm hit and miss with Burton, love the two Batman films; Beatlejuice is one of my favourite movies of all time but i can't stand Edward Scissorhands or much of his recent stuff.

I love Beetlejuice, quite like edward scissorhands..
Do you like his animation? The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favourite films, and i really like Corpse Bride. Sleepy Hollow, also one i really like, as well as.. Have you seen 'Vincent'? It's only a short animation, one of his first i think, it's good. He produced James and the Giant Peach as well, love that film!

I loved Dark Knight, hope this new one here can be as good.
I watched "knight and Day" last night. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. Good action movie for people who can take things on the lighter side, as some of the scenes were Cruise is out in the open firing shots and not getting hit is not so much the same in reality - if you take it serious, you'd say the movie is stupid. Lighten up and it will be a good watch.
Currently watching S.W.A.T - Samuel L Jackson, fantastic acter.

Oh trust me spin where I come from I've seen even worse. Some of the old hindi movies would beat all of that hands down.
Though I'll still say, was a little disappointed with Knight and Day.
And I say that without wearing my critic's hat. Expected a lot after watching the
trailer and the Cast.
