Hey, for my 19th birthday my Dad has suggested that as a major present he buys me a new, really top notch bat, I'm a reasonably good player, just below minor counties as a junior. He's working in somerset at the moment and spends a lot of time in the M&H factory at the county ground. They do a special package where they custom make your bat and you get a trip round the factory, watch them make it and so on. I know that M&H bats are generally considered good, but how good really are they? Does anyone have any particular opinions on them? |

I've got each of the models they currently do and they seem pretty nice. A couple of them have what I would call a slightly old fashioned shape but they are able to get lots of wood into them without comprising the weight or pickup. I think I like the Harlequin best.

I went and grabbed one just for you! The one I have here is 2'10 which is lighter than I'd normally choose, even though it looks a lot bigger as it is very chunky. It picks up beautifully too, feeling even lighter than 2'10. The Solution looks to have a very long middle and the way the wood is concentrated on the back suggests that you would get great impact even down near the toe.

Oh cheers mate. I think MH might have been the first one to come up with this whole 'low middle' trend in the UK market. And before you know it Puma came up with the Ballistic. However it was said that Ballistic had poor pick up, so i am a little surprised that a Solution has good pick up considering its low middle!
