Back to topic, who's fancing Bangladesh clean sweeping the kiwis in all the playable games? I know Sam is but who else? |
No Spinny I am not. I'd expect NZL to win the next two, however I won't dismiss the chances of BAN winning the series. NZL are not that bad but they are finding these conditions very difficult to handle.

NZ will not win the next two in my opinion maybe one of the two but not both. Yes the conditions are very difficult for them but they better get a hang of it fast, coming India series then World cup!

And Bangla boys takes the series. Magical stuff from Shakib Al Hasan. This bloke would walk in to any ODI team in the world at the moment.

And there it is - a series win for Bangladesh!
Have they managed this feat before - a series win against a major cricketing nation?

Having just read an article on it I can see they have never won a series against top flight opposition before...
Congratulations to Bangladesh - a step in the right direction!

Maxie, Bangladesh won against the West Indies 3-0 but that was against the replacement side so I guess it doesn't really count as top flight but in terms of the team name, then yeah, this would be their 2nd series win.
And yes, Shakib would even make the Australia team, displacing Hauritz as the main spinner.

Yeah I had discounted the WI series win as it was not even remotely near the 1st team that turned up.
This I do believe can be considered their real first series win no?

Yes Max, Definitely their first series win, against a decent team, huge step forward, and couldn't have come at a better time for them, As their next matches will be the world cup! on their preferred tracks!

I don't say things just for the sake of it guys, when you look at the talent in this Bangladesh team you had to believe that it is just a matter of time before they start winning and I think finally that time has come. We will see a lot more of this now.
Terrific stuff and congratulations to Bangladesh on this historic victory! I'm disappointed that they do not have any scheduled series until the WC now, that won't be an ideal preparation for the big event.

Happy yes, but I'll be a lot more happy if PAK can win their next two assignments and the suspended trio comes back to play for the World Cup Spinny. Good to see you back Zuhair!

Wao wao wao!!! Congratulations Bangladesh. I believe this is a great great Achievement. Well done Bangali Boys
Hope for the best Sam. Inshahllah Pak will play much better cricket in their next two assignments because this is the right time to tell the world about the talent we have.
Shahzeb Hassan and Wahab riaz are included in ODI and t20 team for SA tour because they have performed well in domestic t20 championship specially Wahab's bowling was superb. If they play with their minds on they can do much much better.

Fine effort by the Bangladeshis , but woeful from the New Zealanders ! If nothing else , the top sides will now be aware that Bangladesh will need respecting at the World Cup. Having said that , they won't get close to winning it !
