It's a good contest Sam and all results are possible - let's hope the rain stays away.

SRL have the edge. Pakistan has managed to wipe out the lead for 2 wickets. But,a t best, they can manage a draw, if they survive the day's end today. SRL haev the edge to place run saving fields if they are not getting wickets. SRL will tke the series win, 1-0 or 2-0 doesn't matter. They have not tasted it for a while now.
A word on Junaid - the more he is playing - the better he is getting - I hope he is not ruined by people around |

SRL well and truly on their way to make it 2-0. Disciplined bowling and Steve Davies did a pretty good job again

No Zuhair in my view it will be really difficult for SL against Ajmal and Junaid to get 200 if we get full day play i really expect Pakistan to win.

It should be a good contest now that the lead has closed in on 200, I wouldn't count Pakistan out by any means, but they will have to bowl well and this pair of Asad and Adnan will have to bat for 1 hour tomorrow, that'll really help their cause because this way they'll be eating into SLN's time as well, remember SLN haven't won a test series for a while and that could put added pressure on them.
All that said, the Rain should stay away!

Superb stuff from Asad and Adnan. 271 to get in 71 overs - the pitch has no demons, it has in fact eased out a lot from what it was on day 1. I expect SRL to chase this one down.

Good declaration by Misbah - a gettable total should see the Lankans having a go and that should give some chances to the Pakistanis. 27-0 at lunch , but still 65 overs to go in what could be a thrilling finish.

Lame draw in the end. Could not understand SRL's tactics in the chase. Maybe they were too desperate to win a series.

I congratulate the Sri Lankan team on their first series win since Murali's retirement, it also brings to an end Pakistan's unbeaten streak that started off in October 2010.
I'm not at all disappointed by this result because Pakistan have played very good cricket, there were a little unlucky in the first test when a lot of umpiring decisions went against them, they were the better side in the 2nd test but it was hampered by rain, and again, despite losing the toss they had every chance of winning this last test which was very evenly fought contest. Also no hard feelings against the lankans this is one cricket board that has always been very supportive of Pakistan, it's good to see them win after a long time, even today Mahela said Pakistan deserve to be much higher in the ICC rankings, and I think that'll happen once the new rankings are out in a few days, Pakistan should definitely gain points while India, Australia should lose points. Eagerly awaiting Pakistan's next series against Australia, 3 ODI's, 3 T20's, I just got my promotion today by the grace of God, So I guess I can relax a little now and watch some cricket!!!... bring it on!!!

Yes , it was odd , there seemed to be early intent and then they stopped playing! They'll take the series win though - pity there was a day washed out or there would've been a positive result. |
