polls

   I think that if you vote in a poll, it should send the thread back to the "top of the pile" if you like. Sometimes people just vote and do not make a comment as well, meaning that the poll just "dissapears" down the list and that is that.
For example. For things like "who is the best?" type questions, there isn't always the need for a post, but if nobody posts, then a perfectly good thread is out of the window.

	Sam , the simple answer is that if the thread is topical the poster should vote and post - then it won't disappear.

	it seems entirely apt to me - if people won't make some effort to back up their vote in words then the thread is worthless anyway

	And often the threads quickly become out-dated, for example a 'best opener' thread can change completely with injuries, form loss and retirement.
