And take a look at the start of this article: http://www.middlepeg.com/bradburycricketnews.htm I don't know either way, but I wouldn't be at all surprised. Edited by swerveman |

i have two bats : woodworm torch and the puma xbow. both are great bats. the only falt is that the woodworm broke first time i used it in a match. you need to knock it in true before using it. both could easily hit you an easy ton.

Ponting uses a bradbury. I can garuntee it. Flintoff uses a Hunts County, Ramnaresh Sarwan uses a fusion, Vaughn uses some indian thing, piterson uses an ss, jones uses a salix, collingwood doesnt use a slazenger, clarke uses a bradbury, the list is endless. The big companies that you all know arent all that good. The pros turn to these other companies but are offered lots of money for there stickers to be on the bats

Selecting a Bradbury cricket bat has become a very simple process given the shape and profile of Paul Bradbury's masterpieces. He knows the Sterling shape is the ultimate in bat design because of how many top international cricketers use this very bat made by Paul. Indeed many of the big brand bat companies have also unashamedly replicated them and as such, become their best sellers. These companies have got the shapes from bats presented to them by their sponsored players, who have in the past, had years of using the Bradbury bats stickered up to meet their contractual obligations. this is from the branbury website read the last 5-6 line

in reply to the first comment- I have just bought a kookaburra belta and it is one of the best bats i have used. It has a very good middle and nicely bowed. i wood recommend a kookaburra or a gray nicolls bat if i was going to buy a new bat. |

I personally havent used the fusion bat cricko is suggesting but one thing that i agree with is that most players use custom made bats with sponsor stickers. A perfect example is Sacin Tendulkar, who has MRF which is a tire companies logo. |

'Sup guys. There's no point arguing about what bats international players actually use, It doesn't matter. The fact is; Cricket, like most sports is dominated by money, players will do whatever they have to do get the most money or the most free stuff. Having said that... I am the proud owner of a Kookaburra Kahuna Tornado. This is just like the top of the line Kahuna but instead of having the carbon graphite at the back it has black paint. Doesn't really matter to me as I dont play at a top level but it is still a really good bat that I would happily recommend to anyone looking for a new bat. It cost me $285 Australian so I'm not sure how many pounds that is. Hope my advice helps. Scotty. |
