Almost all the kash willow puma bats are the same and I dont find a difference in stealth or ballistic or even vendetta.

For Kashmir willow, Woodworm is a nice choice.  The quality of the wood is very good and the price competitive. We sold both Woodworm and Slazenger kashmir last year and dropped Slazenger as it didn't prove very popular.

all of the top Woodworm bats are actually made at Hunts County Bats by Tony, Rob and Matt (pukka to his mates). the old Torches were Indian, but the Flame and Globe were made at the Hunts factory
 
the one Flintoff started with was just an off the shelf Custom Classic with scoops taken out of the sides and new stickers.
 
while i was there and saw bats with name tags on for Ricky Clarke, allan Lamb (still playing somewhere i suppose) and even some with stickers on for Darren Maddy who was there collecting them himself.

there are several great brands in India that we don't even get distributed in the UK... and some that are available from Online only places.
 
i'd look at KG, Sareen Sports, Matrrixx if i was you as they are all extremely well made and better than a lot of the others by a long way.
 
i met Jatin Sareen in the UK last year and his bats are awesome, as are these by Ajit at Matrrixx.
 
i have just got a Matrrixx Terminator Pro (grade 1 English Willow)... had one net and a game with it. oh my god! it is pretty awesome... equal to my Gladiator Bats "Commando"!

 I bought BDM LE for this season, its ultimate desi bat I ever had, superb pick up. Willow Grade is excellent. Still knocking it.

i have seen the Rolls Royce of bats. Its a SG bat that was used by one of the Indian U19 players that i now have in my room. 17 dead straight grains, unbelievable pickup, an absolute masterpiece.

I have a Slazenger V600 Pro that I got a while - must be three seasons, I think - ago.

I've used it constantly in nets as well and it is still going strong - no cracks, no dents and it still goes like a bomb when I middle it. The toe is a little dead but I got it wet in the first game I played with it (too lazy to fit a toe guard when I first knocked it in) and the wood there has gone a little strange when it dried out. Apart from that it is in great nick.

It was a £60 bat but I got it for £20 because they were selling off old stock (it was the season before the new Slazenger bats came in). The pick up is great and it feels lighter than it is. I love it. Not that I've scored many run in it, but I bat at 10 or 11 usually, so that doesn't mean much.
I swing both ways - but only when I'm bowling!

I have a SS Viru bat that I got from india and since getting that I have noticed my batting improve. It is much heavier than my old Powerbow but I like how the middle is smack in the middle which means I can drive the ball alot more and find the middle. I have noticed my power as imporved also because I have had to work out more to handle the weight of the bat. It was pretty cheap and only cost me £40 equivalant in rupees.

I bought a bat for me a few months ago.  I made sure to knock it in with a bat mallet until I couldn't see any more dents when knocking.  That didn't take very long. 
 
It was a CA bat with about 9 grains.  It's an English willow and the wood was soft, in other words, dented easily when knocking in but I tell you, this bat is hitting real sweet now and makes a real nice sound when it comes off the middle.  It's suited for cross batted shots as the sweet spot is a bit more up on the bat.  It's very light too, not too sure how much it weights though but it looks flashy as well so many people want to use it.
 
I haven't bat much with it as yet but I've pulled some good sixes with it.  Some guys have blazed some exquisite straight hits with it as well so I guess it's very good on the drives too.
 
Best thing is, it only cost about £65.  CA bats rock!!
In troubled times, being philosophical helps a great deal, it helps you to remain sane and not do any further damage.

I have just purchased the new 2008 kookaburra beast and ive got to say its amazing. thick, proper grade willow and just full of all round greatness =P. yet to use it in a game, waitin for season to start but im pretty confident it will go excellently. so i'll give it a 9.5 already =P
 
will inform how it goes against a bowling machine and in a game =D

I boughta a Slazenger Power Blade pro a few months back. This season's first game was on Sunday and I used it for the first time and scored a 76 off 64 balls. The bat feels awesome.
