Good one Graham!

ODI is a game for fun, test matches see who the great batsman are but ODis don't

you are too biased towards your own nation garrywarne. ODI's are definitely not a game of fun. They may not be considered in the same class of tests but still quite respectable.
You should respect the man for his achievement.

Yes that's true but come on would you rather be Bradman or Richards it's no brainer for me.

With respect , it isn't.  Whether you be talking of Barry , Viv or Sir Gordon , all are worth consideration.   In Natal and Hampshire it would be a no-brainer , as it would in Antigua and Somerset and surprisingly it'll be your man who will come a distant second.
Throughout the realm of England , there might be greater support for The Don , but Sir Gordon's support would not be insignificant.

Yep , I'm sure that , as fine a player as The Don was , there are pockets of this world where he'll have to accept a lesser ranking.

If you want to know what fun in cricket is please ask Afridi or Dwayne Smith. Playing great cricket shots and getting 15000 runs ain't fun at all.
I have to agree with you though, that test matches really sees who great a batsman are, but he is a master in that version too.
Ponting is better at the moment but it will end by next year and Tendulkar has been the better lad of the two, India never produce good bowlers but aussie had warnie and Mcgrath for years on the same team with ponting.
