rate these spinners in the order of not greatness, not potential but on their spin bowling. how much they spin it, how much variation have they got, are their variations any good, excluding all wicket counts, rate the following:

Shane Warne

Muttiah Muralitharan

Harbhajan Singh

Anil Kumble

Ashley Giles

Monty Panesar

Nicky Boje

Daniel Vettori

Danish Kaneria

Saqlain Mushtaq

Shoaib Malik

Chawla

Stuart Macgill

Chris Gayle

Andrew Symonds

Brad Hogg

and any others i have forgotten? good luck, the top 2 are pretty obvious but after that it could get interesting.

Leg spinners normally generate more spin than the offies. But look at Murali changing the whole scenario with the superb innovations in this field. I wonder some day he would be able to generate 180 degrees spin from the wicket.

So is Warne. Leggie legend and one of the greatest spinner of the cricket ball.

Anil Kumble is not a great spinner of the ball, yet he is a very successfull bowler.

180 degrees! never! the biggest turner ever was probably shane warne to chanderpaul, between 60 and 70 degrees, 180 degrees would come back!

Too many to rate them all but Murali and Warney top, Kumble and Macgill second, then Harbhajan and the others.
County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

I intentionally exaggerated it mate, otherwise i am very good at Trignometery . But you know sometimes things are exaggerated just for the sake of a little bit more emphasiz. Even 60-70 degrees is too much to play even for a good batsman.
