Whatever happened to players like steve waugh if he liked a different bat he'd just use that he went from GM to MRF as we all know

He stopped playing!! No seriously he didn't change from GandM to MRF,he used blank Bradburys for a while.I'm not convinced that he wasn't actually using Bradbury or another custom bat maker's bats after that with MRF stickers on.Early in the life of MRF they were not actually a bat maker,just a tyre manufacturer.It was only when the authorities threatened to ban their logo from bats that they actually bought a bat factory in India!! Mark. |

Well I think its disgusting and bad business that a bat make like GM will go to extraordinary lengths to find a unique bit of willow for Graeme Smith who gets his bats for free! But if someone pays £250 he has to do with what is available on the shelf!

I agree that business is dog eat dog but still GM should realise that they could still make a lot of money without ripping people off.

yes but remember that was a one off! but from GM's point of veiw smith is one of their top players, especially in SA being the captain!, also if you dont give someone like him what he asks for, you may lose him to another company! but anyway you can ask for number of grains etc when you buy a GM LE Edited by crick |
