Sri Lanka earlier has the record against kenya of 398. Kenya was horrible that time.

Surely your going to make something huge against the likes of Holland. Like somebody said they couldn't beat a county side.

these games against the minnows need to be played to improve the srtenght of world cricket although they shouldn't be given ODI status as records will begin to mean nothing!!

I agree that a better system has to be devised in order to preserve the meaning of a 'true' world record.

Yeah, they've just beaten West Indies in the previous match though

Yes, but bermuda are awful, there team is basically a realy good club side, most countys could rack up 300 or 350 against them.

Now this record no longer stands as the highest OD total after Surrey broke the record today. It's stillt he highest ODI total though, which is more important anyway.

International cricket is not more important than the domestic game, in fact quite the opposite.
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

I never said that international was better than domestic, I just said that holing the ODI record would probably count for more than holding the domestic one.
