If he gets booted for those comments then ICC need to stand up (which they won't...) and place sanctions against SL. Political interference and cricket board juggernauting (West Indies is another one to look at) needs to be put under the microscope.

thank goodness for a decent game at last, that one ebbed and flowed nicely, and kudos to Dernbach for closing it out very impressively.

well I was out of town and away from the forums for a while but it's good to be back, such a shame that I had to miss the decider as I was on flight yesterday, returning home, but well done to England... a very very big series win this against the World Cup Runners up, this should give ENG the confidence to beat the world champions and the No.1 test team in the world.

I thought Cook has adapted well to the 50 over format but surely Strauss can still play and is needed in this format to open up with Cook, Prior is surely a better option than Kieswetter.

For Sri Lanka Chandimal is a very good prospect and the other Mendis is not too bad either, Lakmal has also done a reasonably good job, I think the series between Sri Lanka and Australia next month should be a real thriller.

A series win is not to be sniffed at , but I think England are still a work in progress outfit.   Whilst Cook surprised me with his scoring rate I think he'll battle to sustain that against India's superior attack.  There's a few youngsters out there that should be given a go - I like the look of Hildred and that kid from Clob's club !
