CSA have done it again , I just can't get my head around their selections.
Loots Bosman ruled out and replaced by.............Andre Nel !!! Wacko

Bosman is an out and out biffer and Nel is a useful seamer who bats like my Mum used to.  In response to a question concerning the racial make up of the squad after this change ,the chairman said that whilst 8 players of colour was the target , the quota level of this squad is fine !

I've only been in this country for 25 years fellas , so don't ask me what that statement means.

It strikes me that the selectors hadn't the bottle to go crawling to Kallis and ask him to join.   Logical huh , replacing a batsman with a bowler and leave a world class allrounder stewing at home.

I am sure Bosman's comments have caused quite a furore - for those that haven't seen it he himself says there is nothing wrong with him and that Micky Arthur is lying about him being injured.

Tis amazing how many people have little idea who's playing in this event Clobs!

Bosman will get hit hard in the pocket , but there seems a lot of discontent within South African cricket at this time.  After the poor showing by the bowlers in Zimbabwe the powers that be obviously felt that department needed boosting.
Bosman's injury seems to have given them the gap and they've brought in Nel.  If that's true it gives some idea of what kind of selection committee CSA has - a pretty shambolic one.

If Bosman's story has creedence it won't die here , be ready for the politicians to join the furore.  A black man being replaced by a white one is not going to be accepted in some quarters.

My knowledge of who's playing is a reflection of my interest in this tournament.

The South African selectors have never quite been the sharpest tools in the shed, so this move doesn't surprise me all that much. But it still does frustrate the hell out of me.

The selectors decisions probably show how little they care about the T20. If their best players aren't going then it cant be that important. But, then i think that the travelling time for Kallis ain't that long...

Not so Sam , CSA are desparate to win this tournament!

Mojo's post is a solid reflection of the average South African cricket enthusiast - they're really hacked off with rank amatuerish administration and politicking.  Almost to a man , my pals here are sick and tired of the selectorial process in all major team sports here , they just want to see the best side on the field.

There certainly will be.

Click http://www.cricketworld.com/cricket_world_radio/article/?aid=13126 for more information.

Yes, I'll be doing commentary, pod casts, news bulletins. With some help, of course. I shall post an announcement in here sometime as well.

Anderson has been called up by England to replace Bopara - although I would suspect that choice has more to do with doubts over Flintoff

Really? Interesting. Well, you South Africans (or English folk in SA) certainly display the right attitude when it comes to sport. A winning mentality results in a winning team (hopefully..). SA still has an excellent chance even though Kallis won't be playing. Will it be the majority of the ODI team making an appearance?

When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.
