my batting was appalling in my first year of club cricket, first match made 15 off 5 balls. My high score was an appaling 20 runs off 30 or soo balls.i made it thru to lunch batting in 4 first ball after lunch i hit for 4 got to cocky next ball top edged and caught by a poor spinner who didn't even turn it.I Mde starts but unable to onvert best bowling figures like 2-8 off 4.medium paced seamers mix up with pace and occasional short balls |

in our games it is our own team mates who do the umpiring so we'd need
to be about 4 yards out for them to consider giving it

Sounds like the umpire had had enough of your Vandort-esque batting and sent you on your way.

My top score is 35 not out. I have always had a reasonable technique but
been a bad player in the games. 6-19 off 8 overs was my best bowling. |
|
|
My two favourite Batsmen:
Jacques Kallis is a very solid but destructive batsmen and not to mention he can bowl as well. I also like Michael Clarke for his amazing batting talent at such a young age |

My strike rate would be over 170, if our team is in trouble and I'm batting at 7. We once needed to chase a silly total of 66, and our team was like 7/24, before I had to come in, and I got 38* off about 14 deliveries. I usually hog the strike if I am batting there. ![]() This year wasn't my best season. This season I made two fifties and a century. I was stuck with poor form after I had just made a 50 and 38*. We have some rule where we got to retire on 50* and if our team is bowled out the retired batsman gets to come back in. I got to come back in once and thats it. I got ranked number 6 in my grade as a batsman, and I got ranked number 20 for all-rounder. Wonderful batting average of 40.79 and a bowling average of 13.4. My highest score in a two dayer would be 108* because we don't have to retire there and in a one dayer it would be 53*. ![]() Edited by RightHandBat |

I love wicketkeeping. Last season I couldn't wicketkeep all the time though, because we had someone else in our team who could wicketkeep aswell. |

[QUOTE=ANIL KUMBLE]But now I just love playing the leg cutter my favourite shotQUOTE] The leg cutter is a delivery used by a seamer. You are thinking about a square cut or late cut.
Thought I should tell you as these other guys seem to want to leave in naivety

I once got 3-14 when i was about 13 in my first 'adult' match things went down hill from there though. My highest score was something like 22 and i was having a peach of a day, bludgening the bowlers around the field i was gutted when i got out to a stupid shot. Before that i was usually the no.8/9 who just hung around to support the real players, that day we were in big trouble the field closing in on me so i thought sod it lets have a bash. |
