This is based on the last 18 months...for me its Pak's because they have had opening troubles and are always under pressure!

Pakistan have the best middle order in the world. I think this should be in "Cricket world ratings" but yes Pakistan have an extremely strong middle order to back up a pretty poor opening partnership.
Younis Khan is an incredibly good batsman who plays beautiful shots on the offside and brings experience into the team. he is a great team player.
Mohammad Yousuf is in such great form of late. He is producing many hundreds and he averages over 50 with the bat in world cricket, a brilliant legside player.
Inzamam-ul-Haq is a brilliant captain and batsman. Despite his dreadful running between the wickets and his ability to run his teammates out, he can really cause teams problems.

A very experienced middle order that have got Pakistan out of many awkward situations.

Obviously Pakistan, after having opening problems our middle order handles the situation very well.

Probably India as you see that they are the ones with best averages.

(Laxman, Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Dhoni)

Tendulkar is opener, Mohammad Kaif and Suresh Raina sometimes.

Depends. India: Dravid, Yuvraj, Raina, Kaif, Dhoni. Pathan depending on where he bats.

Pakistan: Younis, Yousuf, Inzamam, Razzaq. Akmal depending on where he bats.

                                                         EQUAL

So I didn't vote.

On current form it has to be Pakistan. Younis Khan , Mahammad Yousef and Inzamam are three seriously good players with tremendous experience.

They have one thing in common , when they get to a hundred it usually turns into a BIG one! They all bat well together , but score in diffent areas. Setting fields for them is a nightmare and they rotate the strike so well - the fielding side must be tired after 4-5 hours of these guys! (just ask the English!)

Nothing wrong with Australia , India or England either , but the Pakistani dynamic trio sneak it for me.

By how many batsman in the middle order from 3-7,3-5 or 3-8?

I personally think it's Australia in ODI's just look at there middle order in Ricky Ponting,Damien Martyn,Andrew Symonds,Michael Clarke & Michael Hussey.

For tests it's a tight one between Pakistan,Australia,England & India.I can't decide if I have to then probably Australia again there middle order is what makes them make big totals.

I'd say 3-5

6 and 7 are normally all rounder spots.

Maybe it is Pakistan, but it looks like India are going to do well in the Tri-Series. Dravid, Yuvrah, Dhoni, and Kaif had played well in a practice match. Dravid made 50 with 10 fours, but had to retire to make way for Yuvraj, Dhoni, and surprisingly Sehwag(coming down the order). Yuvraj made an elegant 41. Dhoni made 32 of 30 balls and Sehwag made 26 of 24 same as Tendulkar. They ended up making 242 in 40 overs. Sthe batsman proved good, but the bowlers did not.

I vote for Sri Lanka. After long thinking I have realised that theor middle order is one of the best. Jayawardene is becoming like a Dravid(He is still my biggest rival. I ahte to see him score runs and especially against India). Sangakara is very good, Dilshan, Maharoof can be good support in the end. If Murlitaran starts firing, he also is good. 3-5 wise I think Jayawardene, Sangakara, and Dilshan.

It's ONE of the reasons AK. Warne and McGrath are the MAIN reason though - you don't win test matches via the batsmen.

Yup. Inthe 2003 WC, they were all out for a low total almost everytime. It was their bowlers who saved them.

Since when did Australia keep getting out for low scores in that world cup they kept making pass 300 pretty much both there bowling and batting got them over the line.

No. Against new Zealand, England and many other teams ther always made 180-195. Once in a while they used to touch 200-210. Even against Namibia they made only 281. It was only against India and another team that they made 300 against.

281 is no where near classified as low in ODI cricket,I doubt they made 180-195 against alot of teams go check the scorecards in the 2003 world cup because im sure your wrong.

Simple!

Younis Khan     Mohammad Yousaf   Inzamam-ul-Haq

They should get 500 on the board

If i had 3 wishes i would do 3 thing... exile mahmood and harmison, make geraint jones the best keeper in the universe and me the best leg spinner. what a lethal combination!

It was a very low score they posted against England in Port Elizabeth AK - I was there! Something around 205 or so if I remember correctly. Lucky they had Andy Bichel and Michael Bevan to bail them out!

AK as much as i'd like to say australia's middle order (spots 3,4,5,6) in test matches is great, but it's not!!!

Sure Ponting and Hussey are in great form, but we haven't had a cemented no.4 or no.6 since the ashes!!!!

Pakistan & England have the 2 strongest on current form, with Cook, KP, Collingwood & Bell all in great touch for england, and Kahn, Yousuf & Inzy for pakistan.

If i had to choose though i would take pakistans, they have 3 genuine match winners in positions 3,4,5 and that takes the cake for mine. The thing england has going for them though is the fact that KP, Cook & Bell are all young, and have long careers ahead of them!!

5-0 You Beauty!!!!!

Thanks for the many fantastic memories Marto, Langer, Warney & Pidg

England for me even eithout Flintoff it's still better than Pakistan's (just) I particularly like it with Collingwood in breaking up Pietersen and Freddy (when he plays) pyrotechnics
The First Century I ever saw was Heschelle Gibbs' 228 against Pakistan

Nah. Without Piterson and Freddie, the England team can't even stand on one foot. They are the anchor of the team.

That's funny considering in the series vs Pakistan out of 8 hundreds (I think) KP has one and Freddie hasn't played.

Bell is in unbelievable form and Cook is taking to test cricket like a duck to water.

That statement holds nothing as our middle order has practically won us this series without much contributions from KP and no Freddie.

Ya, we all see Younis, Inzaman and yousuf, but the question remain the same why in the world they don't make runs against AUS.

What happen all batsman scare of AUS.

August 16th 2009, my team Youth Combine was crowned CHAMPION once more
