I think Hayden should be kept in the squad for another year or so, before he finall steps down.

Hayden is better, but he won't be around forever so Australia have to look into the future

There is no way Katich is better than a David Hussey or Brad Hodge, Katich is one of the players who did pathetic in the last 4 tests of the 05 Ashes Katich will get slaughtered in the World Cup, Australia can't ignore the fact that there is a Gilchrist equal in Phil Jaques. Watching him bat in Bangladesh was awesome, all he needs is to get rid of those early game jitters. Jaques should be in the ODI side against Bangladesh, get him some experience

Katich is the most conservative and he frequently rescued Australia in the Ashes get him in get Martyn out. Get him out of the odi side though far to slow
like I said Hussey to open free up a space in the middle order and Australia have many a middle order batsmen. Maybe Watson could get his place back. Who knows the options are limitless

The First Century I ever saw was Heschelle Gibbs' 228 against Pakistan

Katich being dropped in my opinion was due to the likes of Hussey and co doing a great job. He is a great player, but would you not rather have Hussey in your side?

I cant see why Katich was dropped he has a very good record with an average of 37+ that is very decent.I personally think Langer is overated and is way past his best the selctors ahve stuck with him for far to long.

Australia will NOT make 500 if they don't have Jaques. Australia will MAKE 500 if they have Jaques in their team(and all the other members of the Australian team) There, that clears everything up doesn't it? Because I don't understand the rubblish you are saying. |

'them' meaning Australia, not Jaques and Gilchrist. With the support of Ponting, Hussey, Symonds, Martyn and Clarke.

I can say that your English is really bad
. I did not say that Gilchrist and Jacques will last 50 overs. If you read carefully in this sentence: If Jaques batted with Gilly, I can guarantee you that Australia will score 500 in a one-day match. That does not mean Gilchrist and Jacques will last 50 overs and score 250 each.Edited by crownmethod |

that is a load of rubbish and you expect them to last 50 overs togethern both scoring 250,jaques is not as aggresive as gilchrist

Jaques is a scores faster than both Hayden and Katich. Hayden is capable of scoring bigger scores than Jacques(but does not score faster than Jacques) , but like I said earlier Hayden is getting too old! So it would have to be Jaques! Jaques is like another Adam Gilchrist! So Jaqcues would have to bat with Gilly. If Jaques batted with Gilly, I can guarantee you that Australia will score 500 in a one-day match.
