Yeah, very nice, Slogger.
I must admit, a proper all-rounder's something that's missing from my squad. Guess I had the chance with Lampard, but it's all a bit late now.
Just had a look at your OD league, you'd hafta be a chance of promotion next season wouldn't you? Think your squad's up to the challenge?

He will be an okay player braddles with all the nets you've given him, don't get me wrong, but if you'd brought a better trainee you would get much more value out of your nets. Your choice though.

I get where you're coming from, Slogger, and appreciate that you're trying to help (I've certainly taken on board a lot of what I've read from all of you guys), but I've got something of a stubborn streak and see this as a bit of a challenge.
If it doesn't work, I'll be the first to admit it and come crawling back with my tail between my legs, but I've got to give this a shot.
This is him now:

He's popped in everything I'm training him in since I got him and I'm relatively happy with his progress. Will start training his stamina in about four weeks.
I'm sure you think I'm crazy (and you're probably spot on
 ), but I reckon I'm a chance to pull this off. I guess only time will tell... |

Ended up with a consistency pop this week which is okay I guess given he'll end up being my next keeper.
Is on 2x bat, 1x field and 1x keeper. As a long term prospect I think he'll be incredible, just won't be able to play him in a game I care about for another couple of seasons... You can get far better trainees than that on the market braddles, like you said he will be useless for 2 seasons especially with new PFL hits damaging batsmen even more when they bat. I've tried something like this before and it failed spectacularly, so I wouldn't try it if I were you. |
